I am a bit paranoid about my weight. I make 90 kilos. my mom keeps making me remarks that I am big. Is it so bad to be overweight? whats your attitude towards oversized women? Do you mind at all?
I find that I need to calm down on this too.

I don’t have one. I feel like it’s none of my business and I have friends who are quite big and they’re great people. It’s not really something I think about.

It depends mostly on the woman. If she is gracious and poised, I like her, but I’d be lying if I said that size doesn’t matter when it comes to romance. A large woman can counteract a lot of the negativity towards being big through her personality, but when she is wanting romance she is at a disadvantage. There are probably decent guys who would take an overweight woman, but she will probably have to look harder to find them. Personally, I would be willing to forgo a lot of physical attractiveness if I could find a woman I felt like I could communicate with satisfactorily.

Thank you too, crimby, for the honesty. Maybe ill try to lose some of my weight, when I have more will and I am better mentally. I have one ill friend who is obsessed with the weight, she only likes skinny women. And my mother also continues to make me remarks about my look. Apparently its not easy. But I don’t need the paranoia about this, no?

I love woman all sizes but when I did find myself romantically involved with a woman she was big and voluptuous and I liked it. I was smaller at the time. She didn’t mind her size at all. She was beautiful and didn’t let her weight stop her from doing anything. It’s all in the attitude I think. Now I’m unhappy about my weight so I don’t make a good fat girl but she did.

When I was a kid I secretly thought less of overweight people, thought they were lazy. I never actively said anything about it though. Anyways as I learned more and more about obesity and all its different causes and different peoples’ stories I stopped thinking that. Now I don’t judge because we all have our own battles, but when I see people morbidly overweight who it clearly pains them to walk I feel very bad for them.

my attitude is… they should prioritize their health a little more. I don’t mind women with a healthy weight, curvy even, but there is a cut off where its no longer healthy or attractive for me.
I had a girlfriend once who was lazy and it got me down being with her, so I kind of weed that out now when looking for a girlfriend.
i’d encourage you to keep taking positive steps in your recovery including a healthy weight whatever that is for you . I get the feeling that some of the other posters neglect their physical health for the sake of their mental health. I’m almost the opposite, I’m more concerned with developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease, which occur in my family, than I am about a few voices.

Overweight isn’t a problem for me. I see plenty of overweight women I’d like to hook up with.
I wish I was curvier.

Martyn, you should check the movie ‘‘constantine’’ with Rachel weisz if you didn’t see it. Its great!! Hah, ok,ok. Its just that my ill friend told me she wants me skinny and pretty again. Like i am not pretty anymore… But damn, ■■■■ this vanity. My mental health is too bad now to think about my weight. But yeap, its too much 90 kilos, plus this belly of mine which is antisexual and bigger than my boobs… Those meds put a lot of grease on our bellies i find…

I don’t think any woman is very comfortable with themselves and finds flaws. Curvy women lots of men find attractive, but it’s really about health. If your sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure are ok then np. If it isn’t and that goes for any size not discrimatory, then you have to reassess. Different gals for different folks some like short,some like tall,some like fit, some like blondes…what I’m trying to say is be healthy and happy cuz ya never know who’ll be your next bf 
I don’t think being overweight is a big deal, except that it can be unhealthy. I used to be skinny, now I am not because of risperidone and avolition. It’s not ideal, but I can’t change it right now unfortunately. Because of this, I’ve become a lot less judgemental of other people. I hope people don’t judge me as harshly either.
