I was in great shape all of my life with maybe one or two exceptions. Ibises to run cross country in high school, wrestled at 152lb weight class all four years. Even kept up with the gym and working out after I got diagnosed in 2001. Well, this summer it really sunk in, I’m about 25 lbs overweight and I can’t really hide it anymore. It’s like my worst fear come true, I’m constantly afraid of what people will think so I tend to isolate. I just had Prozac added to my mixture so I’m expecting another 5 to 10 lbs shortly. I guess I’m finally at peace with the fact that in heavy. I never thought I would feel this way but maybe Chloe katdashian is onto something with her curvy women’s clothing line. If plus size women are beautiful, why can’t curvy men be appreciated too?

Women and men are not the same. Women can have more extra weight than men can and still look good. Just my opinion. I do like some slightly overweight men, but generally it doesn’t take that much extra weight for men to look unhealthy and unattractive. Everyone’s taste is different though.
I think a lot of girls like slightly husky guys. Despite Chloe, it’s probably more socially accepted to be a man with “curves” 
Although it’s good she’s breaking the barrier on self asteem for overweight girls…they have stores like big and tall for men. I think that helps men’s self asteems if they’re plus sized. Just be confident in yourself there’s nothing to worry about if you love yourself as much as you can. And I’m short and skinny so take it from me I’m not biased.
Finally! It’s been confirmed. Overweight men are a turn off to females. I always knew it because if I got up over a certain weight girls wouldn’t even look at me. But if I was in the target weight zone that I like I used to get looks and be able to chat it up. I’m stocky but I’ve got a little extra in the mid section that shows. It’s too bad they can’t make meds that don’t do that to you. I’m a good looking guy I would like to stay that way. Not to mention diabetes and heart disease and all the problems that fat people have.
I might be able to shop at a big and tall but I would need a good tailor to take about a foot off all the pants I bought 
Treebeard is a guy. Not trying to discount his opinion. But gay men definitely have a different opinion than straight woman. A lot of the girls on this board have said they like a belly on their man…

Yup. I think it’s very common in Latin America for the men to gain a belly as they get older. And their wife have no problem with it. I was actually thinking the same thing. The Pablo character in narcos was waaaay more attractive than the real life Pablo. If you have billions among billions and love children and animals and have a sensitive side like the show portrayed I reckon it’d be pretty easy to get a real hot wife though 
Yea I agree, his position of almost king like power and governs tal influence along with the money and the boyish charm of a tough vato who came from the slums must have gotten him laid quite often. I think that’s what I was shooting for when I took drugs. The Escobar effect. The gut though yea you’re right, in poor countries a little weight on a man shows that he can provide food for himself and his family. It’s a sign of opulence. Not like here in the states where the thinner you are and the skinnier you wear your jeans the more chicks you get. That being said I think there are girls in the US that like a huskier built man but you just have to find them… Or be found by one.

This is precisely my experience. When I was thinner, I had no problems in that area (to say the least). Pile on the pounds and hey presto, invisible. People are people. I don’t blame women for feeling like this, but do get annoyed when I hear things like ‘personality matters more’. Not so in my experience.
I took awhile, it’s a long 20 year story. But I am very happy with my bigger man. Never was attracted to those muscle tattoo types.
I agree that people are people and yes women can be just as shallow as men if not moreso.
It’s just that these meds, they don’t make you a handsome stocky but rather in a bloated flattened kind of way. Sometimes I feel like the disgust I get off of women comes more from the fact that I think they can tell I’m on psych meds rather than just being overweight because I’m lazy or just didn’t renew my gym membership
So there’s hope for us “bigger men”?
My therapist says she’s attracted to the medicated look. She cites axel rose from guns n roses as her example. He was skinny, had a breakdown, gained some weight. She says “especially on the face” is where he gained the weight. And she said she actually finds that attractive. She also said she prefers short to tall men. So she may be an anomoly in terms of her sexual preferences. But they’re out there!!!
