I’ve been having trouble lately. I don’t know if I’m smart. I’ve been obsessed with this for years but has been especially bad today.
I want those who know me enough here a question.
Am I smart?
Am I average?
Or am I dumb?
Please honest answers.

Intelligence is complicated. You have high and low areas like anyone.
Don’t you have a general idea of how smart you are from your performance at school? That should give you an idea.

I haven’t seen you post much BUT there’s a thing called “ the Dunning Kruger effect” where people who are dumb tend to think of themselves as brilliant and smart people think there dumb
Keep in mind Albert Einstein said notoriously that he WASNT a genius

Einstein was obviously a genius, I think he was being humble or was unaware of how smart he was.

I never cared about school. I mainly studied stuff I’m interested in rather than school work.

I understand. School is not a good indicator of intelligence because you have to do as youre told there to get a result.
It’s difficult getting an actual reflection of intelligence if you dont challenge yourself to see what youre capable of.
I think only an intelligent person would ask such questions about themselves. You’re curious, and I think curious people change the world for the better.
Also, Einstein said that imagination was more important than knowledge.

If you want my honest opinion.. You are slightly smarter than the average person.. But you seem insecure like Wave said. I don’t mean that in a talking crap kind of way, I have my own insecurities too. Lots of people do. Believe in yourself and be confident man. You’re a smart dude.

It’s hard to judge over a forum. You could be way above average when it comes to intelligence, i’m not sure. You should do some tests.
I also think Einstein was intelligent, but he said that most of his ideas came to him in his dreams.

Indeed he did. He was a great visual spatial thinker. He could watch things happening in his head and came up with his ideas from it.

I did a while ago but they had to test me a second time with a non verbal iq test because I have a verbal learning disability. Never took it the second time.
I have a pretty high IQ and I can say without hesitation that I’d rather be good with people or have a higher EQ. Unless you have other attributes to compliment it a high IQ can actually be kind of a nuisance but if your really curious just take a test.

I was told by several psychologists that i was probably above average intelligence but all my tests were average score, they said my anxiety gets in the way of testing, and now i just know sza has affected my IQ.
Like said previously, EQ is where its at.

I would rather be smart. My EQ is bad anyway because of schizophrenia. I’m just empathetic.
When I took an iq test my score should have been higher, due to a learning disability. They guessed it at 135 tops. Probably lower.
i dont know if your smart but why does it matter? being smart has its downsides. i’ve gotten dumber over the years and i actually feel happier
