Tinder experiences

After I edited my profile text on Tinder and added a new photo, I’ve been getting more matches.
Right now I have 3 people messaging me!
They all seem super nice, and I’m happy they are showing interest.
Ironically, the bit of text I removed from my profile was “DO NOT match me if you don’t want to chat!”

Anyone else have experiences with Tinder?

I suppose this Tinder is a web dating site, I have never used it or any other dating sites. I am happy to be alone.

Tinder is a dating app where you can see people’s photos and their profile text (and their favourite song on spotify), and then you swipe right if you like them and left if you don’t.
If someone you ‘liked’ also ‘likes’ you, you’re a match, and you’re allowed to chat with one another.

I briefly installed tinder a year ago. Not a reliable medium for meeting serious people imo. Most users only want to chat or meet for something casual. Also the level of literacy seemed dismayingly low.
I prefer okcupid by far.

I personally don’t like tinder I found it too hard to use for some reason.
I used POF n OKCupid they were good.

I’ve been talking to one of the most of the day, she asks a lot of questions but says she’d like to meet me, she lives in the same town as me.
Ohgod, what if, once she meets me, she realises I’m ugly and boring?

This.

I used to be on tinder until I found my perfect match on paid mainstream dating site. She was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder like me and we have the same beliefs and values. We’ve been together for a year and it’s going well.

Also “No longer lonely” is a dating site for people with a mental illness.

I did. We had a long talk about it

I’ve been using POF and Match, both are decent. I tried Bumble on my phone, and man, were there a ton of attractive girls on there. Outta my league. Plus, you have to pay for them to talk to you so I’m not gonna use that one

I hate POF. So many fake accounts message me and I dont get any replies back from real people. POF is my least favorite.

Never had luck with Tinder, I’m not attractive enough to get any matches.

I don’t want any relationship… I want to be successful achieve in life

Hey, good luck! You are NOT ugly an boring, you seem cute and kind to me.

I tried tinder for a week or 2, which was an interesting experience, but i didnt find love.

Tinder somehow thought i was 52 (i was 35 at the time) and i wasnt capable of changing that. Since i already prefer guys to be younger that was inconvenient.

I did have nice chats, but many guys who just wanted a ons and i eventually quit the whole thing when a guy i decided to meet up with asked me to wear high heels so he could lick them. :persevere:

Sorry you had to deal with that request. That would make me incredibly uncomfortable.

My ex broke up with me because I wasnt intimate enough, we waited 5 months before we kissed and it was just a disaster when we did. She broke up with me a week after. I dont blame her, I do regret not being more intimate but I think waiting for intimacy helps strengthen the relationship and I probably wont change my viewpoint on that.
