if done this used to meditate for long periods of time and eat only plants but I feel its led me to bad paths and now its hard to make my own choices with out the voices making some say in it

You should ignore those voices and try to find meds that help you get rid of them. I don’t know you, but you are probably not a bad person. Smoking cigarettes? 1 billion people does that, and you are not bothering anyone except for maybe second hand smoke. Youre voices have absolutely no foundation what so ever.
