Big rest day today but needed it.

Been hitting 20k steps a day and jogging most days whilst the weather is good. Blew out the carbs a bit and still hit 10 k steps and will probably do the 13,500 daily goal but feeling good. My blood pressure is great at the moment and Iā€™m improving fitness wise. My jogging isnā€™t even hitting peak too much over 3kmā€™s so a long way to go but improvingā€¦and need to get back into the weights as weā€™ve an unpowered garage and itā€™s hard to do weights in the mornings which is my thingā€¦

I need to move to weights in the afternoon when the shed is warmer. The first world problems of a warm climate person!

So for the past 30-day suspension I was exercising on my treadmill as depicted below. I stopped because I have a Linux exam coming up.

New attachment for my cable setup. Targets tricepts and a nice solid bit of kit. Into it tomorrow so start of my cycle of 2 or 3 days on and one day off. Shite just about to get real!! :joy:

Am finally starting to lose some weight. Lost a pound in the last few days. Got a lot more to lose ā€¦

The wife and I spent an hour on the lake this morning. Paddled just shy of 3 km. A wind came up and made getting back to the dock more work than anticipated.

Walk walking walked ~15 km today.

I donā€™t quite know while at walk there is always bombardment of information from the surrounding, but I can handle it.

I am just worried will these thoughts hamper me in long run ?

Bought some resistance bands, love them.
Currently cutting so cardio/ab focused. Core is still sore days later.

Other day walked for an hour and forty minutes. Started jump roping with an actual jump rope, that was fun.

No weights today as busy as a beaver with dad but got a run in. Did the big block up the slight hill but you feel it. Did like 1.95kms in 13 minutes so down from 7 minute kmā€™s to 6 and a half or so. Good news is heart rate is not even hitting peak so fitness is way up.

Plan is back into the weights tomorrow and maybe another little run. Real weather is moving in so itā€™s hard with outside exercise. Iā€™d like to bike a bit more too but we have basically hospital in a home for dad so thereā€™s nurses, occupational therapists and physios dropping in. Like just like to be there to listenā€¦meanwhile thereā€™s no plans to their arrival so it stuffs up my exercise schedules for sure.

Still kicking ass for a 54 year old Aussie male! haha.

@rogueone and other experienced lifters.

Feel kinda stuck now. Iā€™ve got maybe 100pounds total to work with, pretty much got to the point today where I squatted 80 no rack, deadlifted 80,bench pressed pyramiding up to 100 for like 6 sets.

And also did maybe 3-5 other exercises. I think you may be catching my drift here. Iā€™ve soon got nowhere else to go with this lol.

I guess I was wanting to keep it at this weight and build a good foundation with it before upping. Now Iā€™m starting to feel a bit weird about missing other components maybe a gym could offer.

For example when I go to my sisterā€™s I use their equipment and theyve got all the cable stuff its awesome.

Any advice on where to go from here minus joining a gym? F that

Yeah I donā€™t do gym either and donā€™t want to but saved up for a great little rack with cables etc. Itā€™s like pretty simple but has a 40 kg weight stack that you can load with weights and itā€™s rated at 200 kgs. It cost like $1300 Aussie and used afterpay to pay it off over two months whilst doing the same for like 105kgs of weight plates.

So smith machine, cables and free weights and stoppers etc all rated to 200kgs or like 440 lbs if my math is right.

Like save up and look into it. Itā€™s well worth it and will do me for years as Iā€™m over 50. I know itā€™s from China probably but itā€™s solid and a good bit of kitā€¦the other thing is join a gym and with dad failing lately if I have to move then that becomes an option but Iā€™d do it early like 5 am and hit the place before people. Like feel your pain.

I thought Iā€™d do a 60 minute Yoga session to make up for not working out in the morning, but I could only manage 35 minutes and had to take a rest!

Charlie Fellows the yoga instructor beating my old assā€¦

I have saved the youtube video to attempt a full 60 minutes tomorrow.

Yoga is so much more engaging than treadmill or similar imho. You have to concentrate and works various types of anaerobic, aerobic, intense and light exercise.

My screenshot of todayā€™s session from my xiaomi smartband 8 pro watch!
