Tell me about your diagnosis

I’m not sz, not sza either. I have transient psychotic disorder, which is very mild in comparasion but it’s with a mood element. They also said i have borderline, alongside psychosis, which explains the mood element.

I see two ways of reaching a proper diagnosis. Either sza with mania or bipolar psychosis, this will include the mood part and psychosis.

Or a borderline personality with psychotic elements which will also explain the mood swings and the psychosis.

I am diagnosed SzA, bipolar type. I’ve been experiencing psychotic symptoms since 2014 and was diagnosed in 2016. My diagnosis was originally just sz because I didn’t have major mood elements, just low level depression. In 2017 I had my first manic episode accompanied with psychosis. Since then my mood symptoms have become much more apparent.

Unfortunately, this illness evolves but it’s better to be sza than sz i think, statistically

I’m thinking more about my bpd diagnosis. I’m not sure if it’s possible to have psychosis because of it

I have heard before that some people with bpd can experience psychotic symptoms in bpd episodes but I don’t know enough about it to speak for sure

I will look into it. My last episode was because of a strong emotional feeling

It depends who you ask, sza bipolar type or Bipolar I with psychotic features. They are basically the same thing and require the same meds.

In order from most recently occurring to oldest disorder I’ve had. I’ve always been diagnosed schizoaffective bipolar type. And substance disorder. But my new diagnosis’s makes more sense to me. I told another therapist about it she said it all makes sense too. And I also had a bout of HPPD but it went away. And my substance abuse is much better than it used to be too which I’m very grateful for. Time to take my medications

I have Paranoid Schizophrenia. My first dx was drug induced psychosis when I was 16/17

However by time I got to 23/24 I was clean of drugs, but had a major relapse that went without proper treatment for nearly 12 months

They found me in a near-by city with no shoes on and feet full of glass.

I was put in hospital by a ambulance, where they did all sorts of tests to rule out anything physically wrong with my brain

Was then shipped to the local mental hospital where I lived, and was put on 20mg of Olanzapine

6 weeks later I was released.

Did spend some time on s forensic ward when I was 18 years old

Autism and anxiety came later as dx’s
