Social Security sent me a final letter that says my disability has ended. They want me to pay back last months payment.
It sucks you have to pay back a payment.
Iâm glad youâve made it this far, I was unaware that medicare would last for 8 years, thatâs really encouraging.
I wish you luck @TomCat I would be shaking in my boots if I lost my disabilityâŚso cool you get paid so much at a job !! I hope the stress isnât too much for you.
Today is the day I would usually get my SSDI.
I didnât get it. Of course I wasnât expecting to but I still miss it.
Itâs really stopped now.
Got to keep working I guess.
You got this, @TomCat! Youâve come so far!! Itâs all worth it!
I imagine Iâll go through the same thing when I find a job. Even though the Zyprexa is completely controlling my positive symptoms, I think I will still have a great big GULP when my disability ends. Now I have to prove I can really do it!
I can do it and so can you! Youâre doing so well!
if you have medicare still. You still might be able to get back on disability if you needed too. Donât quote me and do your own research but i think so. I wish SSDI was simpler to figure out.
Thank you. I will feel better when I get through my probation year. I still have a lot to learn. I donât have an easy job.
Your very brave to go out and get off it. I wish you all the best. TomCat.
Social Security sent me another letter. They say I only owe them $135 now that they were able to stop the July payment. Thatâs better than $2400 they wanted last week. I was going to appeal it (I already did) but now I will probably just pay it.
They counted last March as a trial work month and they shouldnât have.
Thatâs good keep at it.
Stress keeps me from workingâŚarchitectural drawings and dead lines are too much for meâŚI commend you on your brave journey as a working professionalâŚyou can do itâŚand you can always get back your disability if you need toâŚdonât worry about thatâŚ
I have to have a moderate amount of stress and I am used to high stress before I got sick and canât quite handle that anymore but I still need some or I will get bored.
My job has a lot of deadlines. How I manage them is going to be the key to whether I succeed or not.
I would snap like a twig under deadline pressure.
This audit I got at work has put me in a predicament.
I had to give my supervisor all my tax returns and she asked me about receiving social security. So now they are all up in my business and asking questions.
They made an adjustment to my SSDI and which part of it was taxable and say I owe another $3000.
Employee tax compliance is a big deal working for the IRS. I am asking people for hundreds of thousands of dollars every day.
I could lose my job over this.
Oh no! Can you get on a payment plan? Will that help you keep your job? Can you take a personal loan from the bank to pay it off?
oh no !! I am so sorry @TomCat this is horrible !!
I have to try to prove my examiner wrong and challenge all of her changes. The union president is involved. He will sit in on a meeting with me and her and her manager if he has to.
He says we will take it to appeals.
If I pay it I am admitting guilt.
