I can’t read what it says. The print is small and out of focus. What does it say?
i can read it fine. it says “We need more information to decide if we can pay you SSI”
They’ll ask for proof of disability. It’s routine.
they are asking me to bring my pay stubs if i worked from the time i applied to now. I have none since i havnt worked
Then don’t worry about that. Just explain you haven’t worked. It’s still routine
If you worked a job on the table they shouldnt need pay stubs
They can look that up.
I just have w2’s from when i worked a few months before applying. nothing recent. it says to bring them if i worked. i thought they could just look it up lol. its odd
you might mention to the SS office that you want SSDI not SSI…big difference.
I figured it out after a few hours of research. I applied for ssi and they do an assets assessment once, after you apply and a second time after you are approved. That’s what i could gather anyway. This interview is only pertinent to SSI. I have not been approved yet (I haven’t gotten a letter confirmation) but i think its still in the mail.
Did you not work enough to get Ssdi?
I have Disability. Here in Spain when someone applies for Disability it’s necesary to take a report from psychiatrist with information about your illness, your symptoms and the medications you’re taking.
is it less strenuous than the USA’s way of getting disability? because they collect all that info from the places you go get treatment at. also they make you fill out forms, make you see the doctor\psychiatrist they hired and someone has to decide if you are disabled, and it can be biased and if you want someone else to do it, you have to appeal and wort comes to worst you go to a hearing at court, after that is federal court i think. its a mess sometimes lol
I wish i did. Schizophrenia kind hit and hit hard before i could really be productive
That sucks. Ssdi is usually more money.
Here is the same way.
It is just saying that you need to supply them with more info so they can keep deciding the status of your claim.
if you call or go into the office expressing hardship
they will call the general office to pull your file sooner
otherwise it’s all random. However, if you’re a good health body
it’s in your best interest to work.
Oh trust me i know lol. i dont want to be on welfare but i need it to live right now
you have a qualifying disability, it’s not welfare. I’ve worked so much,
I guess I’m taking early retirement.
