Could someone recommend me an AP that causes least drwosiness? I was on risperidone but relapsed on it, now im on haldol and when im too stressed i get mini paranoia episode that stops me from holding a job. It can be a typical ap also
Clozapine maybe?
Have you tried it?
Honestly risperidone is among the least sedating APs I tried.
No i havent, i might try it as In my country you have to be on one atypical and one typical ap before put on clozapine. How ia clozapine, how are the side effects?
Nothing too bad.
Only drooling
I felt energetic on Invega (paliperidone)
Have you tried abilify
Its reallu unpopular in my country but my ask my pdoc about it
I would say Quetiapine (Seraquol) pills and the Xeplion (Invega, Paliperadone) jab.
Suits me. But people i know get the ol’ restless leg syndrome on it.
Its less drowsy than the others i been on.
Maybe Olanzapine too.
Everyone is different mind you - what might suit other people, you may not be able to tolerate. Your probably gonna have to go thru the trial and error with your shrink like the rest of us.
Abilify is supposed to be energizing as opposed to sedating.
Saphris worked really well for me, as long as I took it in the evening
Good thing to talk to your doctor about. Seeking medical advice from Internet strangers is generally a bad idea.
Lurasidone (Latuda) is the best AP I’ve been on. No drowsiness, weight gain, or any other side effects.
It’s a relatively new atypical antipsychotic.
Find yourself a good new ap side effects / effects chart!
According to that chart Abilify has the least side effects but some ppl get anxiety from it so idk.
Actually Caplyta has the least side effects followed by Abilify.
You could also do the dna test to see what statistically works better!
Lumateperone in the chart is Caplyta.
I am on generic prolixin , an older med…I love it…I have tons of energy.
Amisulpride gave me my life back after years
