Olanzapine! It gave me insight. I do struggle with symptoms though. I hear voices, have running commentary, sometimes a delusional thought flare up. I can act completely normal despite it all.

You know it’s very individually what works best for one person may work very badly for another person. If you are a very sluggish sleepy person Ill go for very activating antipsychotics like geodon, abilify, vraylar, latuda or brixpiprazole. If you are a very awake and maybe very agitated I’ll go for Zyprexa, Seroquel Saphris. If you are non complient with pills I’ll go for a long acting like Invega sustenna, abilify maintaina, Risperdal consta. If you are hard to treat I’ll go for Clozapine. There’s a lot of angles to look at it this was just some examples. I personally have good exoerience with one of the typical antipsychotics and seroquel because I have a tendency to go into aggitation and mani. Those meds keep me polite towards other and very gentle.

Have you tried any other AP? How were they in comparison.

I’ve only been on abilify and I loooove it.
Lol.

I mean seriously, it’s okay. So far…

It’s low dose and just seems to work and not bad symptoms overall but I don’t know if it’s the abilify but sometimes I take it and feel sluggish . I wonder what else there is and how it would work but I much prefer it or the invega shots I was on for years. Big step up. I may not ever think the medicine is perfect or I dunno:woman_shrugging::purple_heart:

Definitely Zyprexa it takes away all the violent way of thinking I have on other APs and psychotic.

Risperidone, Clopixol and Clozapine have worked for me but clozapine is the best one that has worked so far.

I’ve been on the clozapine for about 1.5 years and it’s been the best except for wanting to sleep and eat constantly…I just started Vraylar about a week ago and my sleep went from 14 hours a day to about 7-8, so that’s an improvement (I just don’t know what to do with all that time added to my “awake” day!). So clozapine + Vraylar for me.

The best one for me was sulpiride combined with seroxat helped lift my mood alot

combination of risperdal consta and clozapine. that helps for me

Invega is the only AP I have ever taken that has a direct impact on my voices. Risperdal, Clozapine, Zyprexa, Orap,… help me to sedate but don’t dampen the voices much.

All the antipsychotics I tried worked well but they all had bad side effects except for Invega which I’m on now.

Olanzapine was really good as it was calming and I think i slept well on it.
But thirty kg or so weight gain.

On latuda now and it’s been great.
I get anxiety and insomnia though .

Risperidone, quetiapine and olanzipine. None were any good, second one was okay but still very sedative

Yeah abilify is least sedative as well - but even then i still feel tired on it
