My lifts have stagnated so much. I’ve made 0 progress due to hospital 3 times since June 2023. Back then I could do two full push ups at 110kg, which is defo more than a 40kg db bench each side. Heck I think I even did 5 push ups at one point.
By November I will switch from push ups back to benching, to see where I’m at. I’m hoping for at least a 32kgs db (each side) bench press for a 3rm.
Mmm, a push-up doesn’t lift your whole body weight. Think of a lever. Your center of mass is located somewhere near the belly button, whereas your applied force via the arms is below the shoulders, thus the torque is bigger because the distance relative to your feet (pivot) is greater. So it is much easier to do push-ups while weighing 110 kg than it is to bench-press 110 kg.
Muay Thai is such a cool martial art. I wanna get back into boxing next year. Something about aggression and fighting just feels so good as a man. I think all men crave fighting deep down.
And then there’s the learning of forms and discipline that comes with it.
Also Idk if King does Muay Thai in Tekken, but I know there’s a character that does it.
i think youre right. not neccisarily eachother like other human beings but also animals. like now with the invention of guns and things we foget about this, but back in the day we had to defend civilization from animals and ■■■■. Not to mention hunt dangerous animals, like moose, bears etc for food.
Also to protect against evil people… gangs of bandits and such. man is made to be in some aspects a warrior. Even if its not 100 necessary these days with technology, i dont think we can be truly happy without some level of fitness.
I think ill get back into working out in the fall. I was doing some pushups and stuff for a bit. Ill go for a walk at lunch today. I do go mountain biking though
Man, I would love to get back into a workout routine. I used to workout hard in high school for American football. I’ve barely lifted a weight since then…thanks sz!
I respect and encourage anyone who works out. Especially those with this illness. It’s not easy
Other than walking my dog most mornings, no, not really anymore. I pace most of the day inside the house, too. But as far as working out or exercising, I can’t muster up the motivation for it. I’ll workout for a week, then quit.
