If you exercise how much do you

Lift using the seated dip machine if you use it? I’m really happy that as of yesterday I got up to 125 pounds (56.6 kg). I’m at 100 pounds (45kg) for hamstrings.

Anyway, after sitting on my couch for 6 years straight and not exercising, I had become incredibly weak. I know I have a way to go before I’m actually strong, but I’m finally seeing some results. How are you doing?

Im the same way Zma. Its hard to stay self motivated. Was going to the gym a couple of times a week for a few months this year but Ive stopped going the last 4 weeks or so. Need to start it up again. I feel so much better when I do go.

It’s hard to be motivated. Don’t feel bad. Just try to do something like a daily walk to get moving so you don’t feel bad about yourself. But honestly, if you simply can’t do it , don’t be hard on yourself. Things could improve in the future

I have been neglecting my exercise lately.

Did you used to exercise @Bowens ? If so, what kinds of exercise did you enjoy?

Just dog walking and “dog jogging” for short distances and squats recently.

When I was younger, I used to weight lift, though. I did a full routine to exercise every muscle.

I love that your exercise involves your fur baby. That’s perfect!

I’ve been doing upper body splits. Did chest today, and was too lazy for everything else, so tomorrow is back, shoulders, traps and arms. Day after that will be legs. abs & calves.

I have to bench around a shoulder impingement

I floor pressed with 15kg dbs last week and this week I managed to use 18kg dbs.

So next month I’m hoping to be on 22kgs each side for my bench.

6 months time hopefully 36kg each side.

As everyone probably knows by now, I am a dedicated yogini (female yoga practitioner). And I love it and highly recommend it to everyone.

I try to do it like for 40 minutes, 4 times a week.

Cool! I’m not able to do regular yoga but I could do chair yoga. I get dizzy and fall easily.

I walk daily and lift weights at the gym. I’m training to do long hikes and have been putting in a lot of miles. I hit 64 miles last week, and am on pace for over 70 miles this week. I’m not sure if that’s all that much, but I’m trying to work my way up to 100+ miles a week with rest week variations. I’m aiming to do a 100+ mile week before Thanksgiving. I have an intense leg day weight training once or twice a week, and other than that I’m just lifting weights without much focus. I’ve stalled at 89 pounds down, but my waist is getting smaller, so I’m thinking I am making good muscle gains.

I need to focus on resting more, as I want to just keep going. It’s hard though because I have my mobility freedom back. Before I couldn’t walk even 10 miles in a week, and hardly had that many days when I would walk more than a mile and a half a day. I’ve been averaging 10 to 12 miles a day this week. My dream is to hike the Appalachian trail one day in the future.

I’m limited with my equipment but saving up for a solution Meanwhile I’m benching 49kgs for 3 sets of around 10. It’s hard without a spotter so why I’m saving to get better gear. I too need to rest a bit more but find that I have to keep moving to keep that motivation up.

Last summer I was in the habit of walking in the evening to the pharmacy most nights of the week. It was only 20 minutes round trip but it got me through. My goal is 30 minutes a day. The hurricane is going to give us four days of rain. I plan on going up and down the stairs five times a day. I’m on the third floor, it’s a penthouse, lol.

I don’t at all, and I feel bad about it- physically and mentally. Two old friends and I stay in touch, and they exercise all the time. Like, ALL the time. They are both trim and gorgeous. I feel so bad about how I look now that I don’t tell them if I am in state because I don’t want them to see me. So kudos to those of you who DO exercise. I wish I’d never stopped.

I’m so impressed @Squanchy ! When I was a teenager I got to hike a portion of the Appalachian trail. I loved it.

@Thesickguy , I used to love switching off between jogging and the elliptical. Now I have severe pain when I try to do it. If I want, the dr said he’ll do an exploratory surgery to see what’s wrong. As a result of having to be careful about engaging my core, I’ve gained a lot of weight back that I lost 2 years ago. I’m so bummed. It hurts so bad I can’t even walk on the treadmill.
