Post today's workout

You can start by doing the exercises you like and very light weight.

Today I had fun at the gym (I don’t allways have fun) and it went up to the “hobby” cathegory lol

But if it’s cuz of social anxiety… that one is a ■■■■■. I struggled for years with it, I couldn’t go to the gym because it was too stressful.

Yeah, I think it’s mostly social anxiety. My buddy invited me to go to the gym with him during the week, like 6 am lol I had to pass on that. I need to do some pushups/dumbbell work at home before I go to the gym. Baby steps lol

Did 20 min of stationary bike. It’s low impact cardio compared to jogging.

Forcing myself to listen to a 20 min podcast without getting bored lol

I literally alternate a standing kick moving my arms judo style lol. (Can can dance!)

It gets my heart rate up and breaks a sweat.

I measure it using my watch saying I am using the treadmill.

Um. I have walked upstairs and refilled my tea twice today.

Will hit the lake this evening I think.

Monday i walked 3.7 miles to my clubhouse. Then caught the bus home and added another mile.

Tuesday i biked to my pdoc appointment. My heartrate got to 157 which was a little high for me, gotta go slower.

Wednesday i lifted the fork and spoon to my mouth. Then the iced tea cup!

Are you the member on here that has COPD? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Yes, i have COPD. Thankfully, I’m on Breztri and an AirSupra inhaler and have seen my stamina coming back to me. But i have to watch my heartrate now…like the 3.7 mile walk took me 1.5 hours whereas in the past it would’ve been faster. But I’m aiming for whatever exercise i can manage, as my doctor says it’ll improve my lung function.

Good on you for exercising. People with COPD can still live a normal life span, exercising often helps that.

My grandpa got COPD in his late 70’s. He died a year or two after. Not because of the COPD. He had cancer in a bunch of places.

For about 10 mins, or 2 rounds I did elbows knees, crosses, hooks, left and right kicks… followed by knee raise defends, over hands and yeah a lot of different combinations

Nada. It was rest day today so only 10 k steps. Even had pizza but rest days are so good when your lifting and back into the weights cycle. If I’m back tomorrow I’ll add my arm/shoulder day for sure because exercise is so good peeps.

This is a good thread so if back I’ll add!
