What occupies the majority of your time?
Ok well today I did not do much posted stuff, watched some cartoons, youtube, caffeine, gas station run, forms filled out, prayed, spoke to people on facebook, tried calling and texting everyone was doing there own thing–met someone new–applied to a job—avoided twitter…I feel accomplished. So I would say I network and plan for the future. I mean Im 32 life’s not over yet.
At this point in my life, I’d have to say this forum.
Will hopefully meet my friend tomorrow though
I’m just not motivationally motivated much atm.
I do like my bus rides though.
What about you @bowens
I have been spending most of my time on this forum as well @Mae . With my Anhedonia I just don’t have an easy time finding anything that I enjoy enough to do it. I wish I could enjoy more things. I use to be a big PC gamer. I use to enjoy movies. Before Sz I spent over 60 hours a week working two jobs so that would have been my answer pre sz.
Yea this forum is pretty helpful to many of us isn’t it.
Movies. Video games. Reading the forum. Birding on some days. Chess. Trying to learn oil painting. Listening to vinyl records. Pipe and cigar smoking. Helping mydad. Household chores. Learning the banjo.
Is it bad if I do nothing all day?
Gym the morning 1-2 hours
Then go home
I’m starting to think my life cycle is going to get bad.
go on the computer (mainly forums) for 90% of the day, the rest is napping, smoking, and drinking energy drinks. I also eat and go the bathroom. I feel like it’s just low brain activity or too much brain activity and a thought disorder. Like brain damage or psychological damage…
I am not consistant with anything and I don’t do well doing much. I figure I’m moderate functioning for a schizophrenic, but I wish I was much higher functioning. It could be worse though…
Mostly, it is work, which occupies my time.
You should quit smoking. You should also spend more time outside.
You need something with which to occupy your time.
@vangoghs easy. It’s late at night and it’s quite times on the forum. You don’t have to answer every thread tonight and please be civil and supportive to other members.
In what way have I not been civil?
You don’t need to be telling people to be doing things. Be supportive and not critical.
How does that help, to never be critical?
It’s a support forum for the mentally ill. You are coming on pretty strong for a new member. Get used to the place first would be a suggestion.
I have schizophrenia, but I can appreciate constructive criticism. I am sure that is true of most people, no?
Some people may not be in as good a situation mentally as you and telling people who you don’t know what to do will not endear yourself to the community. I’ve things to do other than watch this.
I am currently living with my elderly father so spend most of my time in my room watching You Tube videos. I go out twice a week with a Support Worker who I am ever so thankful for.
So not a great deal really.
Hanging out with my daughter. Watching Netflix or prime video. Playing games on my phone.
