Not trying to be political here: Obamacare (it's on the home page)

Remember, repealing Obamacare will be major setbacks for the CF’er, the mentally ill, and the struggling single mothers.

Talking about the repeal is fine, since it affects the majority of US members. But please refrain from making political commentary on this thread. Keep your discussions focused on healthcare.

Ha, okay.

I’ve been fighting this issue for a long time.

I’ll keep it on Facebook, and my blog.

thanks.

I know how frustrating it is. I’m lucky enough to live in a state that is keeping the Medicaid expansions, but for other folks, this is a very scary time.

the new plan will spell death for the CF’er,

maybe homelessness for the mentally ill.
It’s no good at all.

It looks like it will now be up to individual states to cover the costs of Medicaid and other subsidized health care. This could mean an increase in state taxes for states that choose to keep the expansion. I feel for folks in the Midwest and south, because their states aren’t likely to adopt that policy.

we privitized Medicaid, a couple of years ago,

all the sheltered workshops are getting closed,
no more transportation,

and cuts for respite care givers.
We had a hard time getting camp covered
for my son.

the only coverage I can get is the MEPD program,
but I have to prove I’ve at least done some kind of job.

Sign up for social security so you get Medicare.

yes, I’ve got Medicare, but it doesn’t cover all my health needs.

This site can help people find free clinics near them. It’s sad that we need such a thing.

that would be fine,

but we’re talking specialized clinics.

I think the only health services it doesn’t cov r are dental and vision.

my exam yesterday, they needed two insurances,

so I’m not sure.

In Canada we’re looked after for everything if you get sick…except dental. But my employer covers my dental and vision, combined with my wife’s work coverage…we get 100% reimbursement every time.

Lucky to live in the Mighty North!

That don’t make any sense. Most providers except just medicare. I would double check again or go somewhere else.

I don’t typically ask about billing,

so I don’t know. I just bring in my two cards.
