I live in Canada and i feel very lucky too so much is covered and the welfare/ disability support is very good
I’m in the US and medical coverage and medications are usually extremely expensive and overpriced. Without insurance, my 30 days of Vraylar costs $1300. Ridiculous!!!
I’m in South Korea, and the medical coverage here is somewhat poor.
Because I visit the hospital often due to my physical disability, the medical bills are very expensive and overwhelming. My parents and I had to fight over this matter, which caused so much shame and guilt on me.
Many people do not use the government insurance for psychiatric medications because it will remain in their health records. This is because it will bar someone from getting a job, as most employers check the records to see if the applicant is “fit for work” or not.
My mother and my father had to go through this process as well.
It’s really sad…and I wish that people like me aren’t judged.
wow that is not good
i feel for you its not fun being judged especially when its not your fault
I live in the US and am very poor so I get medicaid. While my health stuff is covered, I get the most basic of tests and care. When you are this low on the totem pole you get treated poorly.
My husband’s neuropathy was ignored until he lost 90 pounds and had to get a power chair.
I am in the US and am happy with my insurance. I have very little out of pocket expenses.
I can also get free care at the VA. So I don’t want for anything.
I pay about 150 euros a month for insurance, which is a lot imho, but then many things are covered. It is obligated to have insurance here. Almost all meds, doctors visits, ward stays etc i use are covered. I wouldnt know what to do otherwise, would have had a lifelong debt if it wasnt covered.
Everything is free even mental health services and all the programs they do. The NHS do a brilliant job.
There’s no need for insurance where I live. And I think it’s pretty antisocial to require people to get insurance for healthcare.
its that thing called money that turns people into materialistic hollow shells
I live in the US. My brother is on Obamacare but when he hurt his back his MRI, and nerve block requests were denied by the insurer. So he got a steroid pack which allowed him to work again but keeps him in pain. My Mother has better health care because she lives with a rich guy but when she got a $12,000 stem cell injection for her arthritis she had relief for a month or two and then it wore off just like most drugs in the US do. Health care is very expensive and you could pay a down payment on a house for a trip to the hospital if your insurer doesn’t pay for it. And practically every doctor, drug, or medical procedure is subject to class action lawsuits which do more to raise the price of medical costs rather than help the consumer. And yes the people who are the poorest have the worst health care. In my state adults on Medicaid don’t get dental, or most eye coverage.
Man i feel so lucky to live in Canada i think that every country should invest in there health care more and less war machines
I get dental and eye coverage in NY. But for us they prefer extractions over root canals and capoing a tooth. Also, I can’t get a partial unless I have less than 8 points of contact because they figure I can still chew a little.
I am in the US and on Medicare. I have coverage but it isn’t always the best in the world. My co-pay at my GP is only $10. The most I pay for my meds is $8 for my Latuda, which is a very expensive medicine. I have noticed the doctors that accept Medicare aren’t always the most “in demand” doctors around. Some have been pretty bad over the years. I guess I should be thankful that I have any coverage at all.
The Medicare coverage is good if your poor.
Just to add you have to be poor and get extra help with Medicare. If you dont it’s real expensive
I’m on SSDI and I have Medicare.
It’s good insurance.
I get my care through the VA.

It’s very good for me. My coverage covers all the medications I take, clinic visits, the occasional specialists I see, blood tests. I rarely have to pay for any kind of medical visits. My coverage also pays for my preventive health needs. I feel lucky too. It pays for my psychiatrist visits too. It’s going to pay for physical therapy for my bum back and it covers all my visits to my nutritionist. My coverage gives me 24 hour a day free access to an advice nurse so she/he can give me advice on the odd problem that might pop up.
