What intervention. Medical or non medical has had the biggest impact on your negative symptoms or cognitive abilities.
Walking helped me a lot in the past.
Some of the older generation APs made the negs a LOT worse. The only newer ones that helped a bit were Rexulti and Geodon. Slight boost to energy. Same with my AD, Wellbutrin: Mild energy boost. Sarcosine also provides a mild energy boost. Amyloban 3399 is supposed to help with negatives, but I think you only get so much of a boost and the Wellbutrin and Sarcosine have handled it already.
Exercise helps more than all of the above combined. Having hobbies I’m passionate about also helps get me moving, more powerful of a boost than meds or supplements.
Volociraptor thanks for your reply. The Clopixol depo I take for my psychosis has worked neutrally for my negatives but at the same time viped out any clues of positives. I likewise both of you have experienced that exercise is the best way to treat the negatives and cognitives. I have requested Mirzapine anti depression meds to deal with the negatives so I’d like to know if anyone on this forum has had any major gain in negatives or cognitives from antidepressants of any kind.
When I took Abilify, it flat out made me realize that I was delusional!!! I wasn’t even trying to get not delusional, and I still got undelusional.
But everybody is different. I am talking about Abilify. Abilify helped me the best. I have side effects, when I take Abilify…… that is why I take a low dose. I take 9 a half mgs of Abilify. The dose that is the minimum is 10 mgs. That is the therapeutic dose.
I am just wondering. When did they invent Abilify? They can invent a medicine similar to Abilify. To help with the side effects. (Different side effects)
I wish you the best of luck Jake with your Abilify and I hope that it will help better in the future by not causing you to have a to heavy side effects burden.
It’s Amisulpride but it also doesn’t have the best sides
I tried sarcosine and it did not work.
I got a supply from brainvitaminz site. I used about half the little scoop twice a day. But it did not work for me. IT made on stable and irritable.
Oops, I thought there wasn’t a medicine that was similar to Abilify. Maybe they can invent a medicine similar to Abilify. Well, maybe they could invent another medicine closer to Abilify.
Yes gamma. Amisulpride(Solian) is said to work the best for the negatives. And Caprazine also is said to work very well for negatives. But as you recall I get disastrously results by blending antipsychotics. So I’d like to know if anybody on this forum has had a remarkable success with antidepressants for the negatives. And thank you gamma for the infos.
Wellbutrin and Latuda
Ozzy boy I wish you the best of luck with your next trial of supplemental meds.
Risperadol geodon and seroquel are the worse. Lower your motivation to do anything, weight gain , give coughing and respiratory problems worse then cigarettes, lower sex drive. Zyprexa has the best effect for me in moderation. High hopes for brilaroxine and karxt
I’m afraid that those two are to stimulating because that I’m scared of going hyper just as I did on Ziprasidone.
I take Ziprasidone also. Definitely not hyper.
Good luck
I got hyper, when I took a to high of a dose……from taking Abilify.
I am not sure if any medicine helps with negative symptoms……Has anybody on this site gotten better with negative symptoms from AP medicines.
