Inflation is very high

I went to a grocery store today. I wanted to buy one candy. I noticed a huge price increase, from 0.29€ to 0.47€, so a 62 % increase in one year. Candies are also becoming more expensive. Candy inflation.

I also wanted to buy coffee and I went to the cheapest store in the town, Lidl, but still all 500 g coffee packs were 5.5€ or more. Are these high prices here to stay?

I don’t mind inflation on candy. I haven’t bought a chocolate bar since they passed $2.00 each. Helps with temptation. I could care less if they triple the price of candies and cigs each month, just keep the darn fresh fruit and veggies affordable, please.

Here where I am one 20 cigs pack is close to 10€, but still people buy tobacco. I am glad I stopped that habit many years ago.
