Im back with good news

Hello everyone, I see I have 84 notifications and don’t have time to read them so I am making this thread. I have been busy and thought about giving you guys an update after all those years.

I am much better now, my negative symptoms improved, I stay much less in bed, thanks to a supplement called Huperzine A that was recommended as a cognitive enhancer by Dr. Andrew Huberman in his Youtube video, a neuroscientist involved in brain research at Stanford university California. I am taking a bunch of cognitive enhancers and other supplements for my liver disease but I pinpointed the improvement in negative symptoms to Huperzine A. Its used for dementia and Alzheimer by improving functioning level. Surprisingly research says it works better than all dementia meds and has a much longer half life. It works by increasing acetylcholine function in the brain and indirectly increases dopamine in the frontal lobes.

I am able to drive my car, hangout with friends and go to the gym 4 days a week. I am also dieting doing intermittent fasting which made me lose 23kg and improve my blood work, I don’t have high cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure anymore and my fatty liver is improving, my liver enzymes are closer to normal now.

I was wondering about you. Yeah, supplements can really make a difference, although often it will take a fair share of trial and error to find something that really benefits you. :slightly_smiling_face:

Haha True, some actually made my positive symptoms worse like L-Dopa.

@Aziz - Lots of us have worried about you over the months you’ve been gone. Most of your notifications are probably people tagging you asking where you are.

I was thinkg maybe something bad happened to you. Im glad to hear its the opposite and you’re doing better.

My delusions and paranoia are under control thanks to Olanzapine.

Yes I read it, thanks. My heart rate is already high so lowering it a bit is a good thing.

On the bottle it says one 200mcg pill a day but on reddit some are taking 800mcg. Personally I have been taking 800mcg for about 6 months now. Some on reddit use it at higher doses to induce lucid dreaming as it increases REM sleep.

Thanks for the tip. Well, I will try it out at low dose to begin with since that always is the sensible thing to do and take it from there :slightly_smiling_face:

For the curious about intermittent fasting the most common method is 16/8 where you fast for 16hrs with an eating window of 8hrs. Personally I eat 2 times a day, at 3:30pm and at 7:30pm as I am never hungry in the morning. Its recommended to not eat for 2-3hrs before bed time to improve sleep quality.

Eating just b4 sleep is not ideal. It can lead to all sorts including heartburn I think.

Welcome back.

I was worried a bit
