Going vegetarian . so many changes this year

ive seriously considered it for years. i admit i love meat. I love my steak, bacon etc.

Problem is i just feel so bad for the animals…and yes i realise nature is also cruel. Plus there are tons of enjoyable vegetarian food out there.

Ill be doing this alone obviously as i dont expect my children to stop eating meat…infact im glad they do. To help im going to use the food service hellofresh to get meals from for a few months. Just to get ideas. I do love veggies. Not many i dont like.

Personal choice for me. I have no issues with others eating meat… just for me personally its not working out anymore. Animals in my eyes at the end of the day is a life. And to me all life is precious, especially those who arent as intelligent as humans.

I’m just eating less meat as I age. It is diagreeing with me more and more and I find I’m healthier when I keep my meat consumption down. Protein from shakes, legumes, etc. works well.

Every time I go vegan I drop weight like crazy, but then I go through meat withdrawal. Need to have some or I’m miserable.

I was vegetarian for 10 years. Unril i became really ill from sza, i was able to do it in a healthy way. Towards the end i was making myself sick eating toouch processed junk so i began eating meat again and i feel so much better.

I don’t enjoy chicken these days.
I’ve been eating a lot of tortellini and pasta sauce, almost every night.
Never was big on beef

I eat 3-5 ounces of meat per day, and no more than 3 oz in one meal, because meat makes me feel very sluggish and it upsets my stomach.

I eat it though because my husband wants it 3x per day and it’s easier to prepare one meal for us to share.

I used to be vegan and got tired of cooking two separate dinners etc

I’m currently a vegetarian.

Was a vegan for six years but now i occasionally have a tiny bit of cheese.

Ideally I would go full vegan again in the future.

Because I care .

Good shows to watch are seaspiracy, cowspiracy, what the health , down to earth , christspiracy .

Christspiracy reckons Jesus was a vegan and reason he was killed is because he turned tables at black markets selling animals and was against it .
He was against cruel meat industry .

Thanks for all the replies. Don’t think it will be easy but I’m not expecting it to be too hard either. If I’m honest I think I only eat meat about twice a week.

Good luck. I will likely never do it myself. 52 years of acquired tastes.

I was raised vegetarian from birth. Started eating meat around 12 or 13 years old.
You can easily be healthy and fit as a vegetarian. Just need to do it properly.

Yeah it all depends on how much carbs and processed food you eat versus unprocessed fruits and veggies. We ate a lot of the former.

That’s good. I went vegan recently, before I was doing keto. I feel it’s better for my health.

I eat mainly tofu for my protein. Today I had a vegan falafel.

I have been vegan for about a month, I don’t miss meat that much but I don’t mind plant based things that are meat substitutes.
