Zyprexa made me gain too much weight and my blood sugar was high on it so even the 20% improvement in negative symptoms aren’t worth it. Also I don’t want to restart my life wihout an optimal med, Vraylar.
Did your pdoc call right when we were messaging on this thread!
Yes, LOL 15155
oh my gosh…what a coincidence. Did I help you?
Yes you did 15
Thanks 1515151515
when are going to take Vraylar or Zyprexa?
Vraylar will be out in Canada by end of this year.
My pdr said it won’t be covered by insurance at first but my mother said she can pay for it as long as its under 1000$/month. My Abilify without insurance did cost just 150$/month.
Can’t you get samples?
Idk yet, its not out but good idea, I will ask my pdr about samples when its out.
Should get covered by insurance unless he’s just lazy or I don’t know something. I don’t know. My stuff is always covered by insurance. I got 2 insurances. 1 private primary, 1 public secondary. My private covers everything. I have a good history of mediations not working. He has to do a prior-authorization. I deal directly with the doctor. He’s a county doctor. I got Caplyta covered by insurance 2-3 months after it came out. No way would I be able to afford it otherwise. Even if I could, I wouldn’t pay out of pocket. This is America though. That, and I think some doctors are just lazy or are crap.
I hope everything goes well.
I will keep asking my pdr about Vraylar insurance when comes out.
Did you read the recent letter that the FDA is refusing to write a letter approving the claim that vraylar is useful in treating the negative symptoms of schizophrenia. They are saying there isn’t sufficient data to prove that it does indeed help negative symptoms. I didn’t know if you were aware of this. Hopefully they will collect more data over time. This may be why your psychiatrist isn’t thinking that it will take care of your negative symptoms, in your doctors defense.
I know you don’t believe in meds but the drugs that worked for my negative symptoms are partial dopamine agonists, Abilify, Rexulti and Vraylar. The pdr knows it and that’s why he kept prescribing me Abilify and Rexulti. So no he’s not refusing to prescribe Vraylar bcz of what you said. I had to prove him that Abilify and Rexulti caused me addiction and hypersexuality problems by talking about the FDA and Health Canada.
And yes Vraylar, Abilify and Rexulti can’t treat negative symptoms for ALL patients, only SOME. We all have different genetics and react differently to meds.
In fact, he prescribed me Rexulti yesterday but I refused to take it and called him to cancel it because I read the FDA and Health Canada warning about addictions and hypersexuality for Rexulti and Abilify. I know its hard to believe this stuff bcz its tied to personality which can be changed with meds. But hey he did FINALLY believe me!
Its not LOL And why are you defending him?
Anyways he’s doing what I want now and if he doesn’t in the future my mother’s friend is a psychiatrist haha
I agree your pdoc, should have let you take Vraylar in the first place!
He kept prescribing me Abilify and Rexulti because he knows I had no negative symptoms on them, I was at university, hanging out with friends and working.
I can feel the Abilify making me impulsive and hypersexual the next day after taking it! It changed my personality for the worse! The FDA and Health Canada are right!
“The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning that compulsive or uncontrollable urges to gamble, binge eat, shop, and have sex have been reported with the use of the antipsychotic drug aripiprazole (Abilify, Abilify Maintena, Aristada, and generics).”
@anon78876561 These are for Abilify but there is for Rexulti too. My pdr didn’t want to prescribe Rexulti at first he said its similar to Abilify and will cause me Addiction and Hypersexuality. He just gave up and prescribed Rexulti yesterday bcz its the only med that treated my negative symptoms just like Abilify.
