I’ve been fasting for the last month now. At first I went 6 days only water and dropped 15 lbs. then I switched to just dinner every three days and water the rest and dropped another 7.5 lbs. lately I’ve been cheating a lot so I’m not sure if it counts as fasting anymore but I’ll take 22.5 lbs in a month. Had to switch pants and belt. Any thinner and I need new underwear lol went from 205 to 182.5 lbs I’m 5’ 11”
dude im really interested in this too, lets keep this thread going. I have tried OMAD (one meal a day) but i usually stop after a while. Can you tell me about your experiences doing more than one day. Ive only done that like once or maybe twice in my life. I want to try it again. Do you have coffee or anything when you do it?
wont i loose too much weight if i go more than one day on a consistant basis? i want to try omad but not sure i can do it without loosing too much weight or having too little energy
It’s actually quite beneficial. Search for water fasting on YouTube or the internet. If your going to do a fast longer than 3 days 2 tsp salt, potassium, and magnesium is recommended. After 2 days without food you stop getting hungry and your energy goes up. On day 4-5 I found I wasn’t feeling well but I wasn’t taking supplements, so I think that’s why.
I honestly think it’s the best way to lose weight and fat after researching and doing it.
I also do OMAD and have been for the past few years. My appetite isn’t that much but I try to eat as healthy as possible. I get cravings for sugar but I’m trying to discipline myself and cut it all out. I’ve maintained my healthy weight of 164lbs for the past year and a half. I also have a lot more energy and feel healthy overall.
I also told my mom about it and since she started implementing it she has lost 30lbs and isn’t borderline diabetic anymore and the doctor took her off her medications.
i fast every year for lent (one meal a day), but i only lose a couple pounds at most. tbh i feel like fasting can have a greater spiritual significance than weight-related sometimes . congrats on the weight loss though!
