What do you mean you’re not sure?

You can’t remember or your not sure if you had symptoms?

I heard voices and had visual hallucinations from my earliest memory but I was very happy until I reached 17 when several bad things happened and I got schizophrenia.

I had jobs as early as 14 years old and was Capable and willing. I don’t believe I was overwhelmed by impending responsibility of adulthood. I liked restaurant work and dining room work and did it for a few years after my illness struck. I had though never faced Reality. How could I face it when my emotions aren’t normal? I have sza.

I was diagnosed at 16. I was only anxious and a bit odd at times as a child though i think.

I used to hallucinate when I was really young. Same kind of stuff that I have now. Went away when I got older. But then came back at 22 with a vengeance. Also I never had voices until now.

I remember as a kid, maybe… idk 6-9 I told my aunt that I heard voices and saw demons. The weird thing is I felt like a liar after I told her. But what kind of kid says that stuff?

Sorta…i was weird since toddler age. My mom would put me in a room with people and i would stand frozen and not interact. Then when I was around 8 i thought I psychically had a vision of my moms death. By 9 I was sleeping with a bat because i thought people would kill me in my sleep. I was pulled out of school in 3rd, 4th and 6th grade because I just couldnt manage it. In 4th grade I got worse. At the end of 5th grade I got hospitalized, diagnosed with psychosis and put on antipsychotics. at 16 I got locked up again and was offically diagnosed with schizophrenia.

When I was a kid my parents told me I would bang my head on the floor for no reason. Maybe that’s why I’m SZ?

I told my father that I was hearing voices at the age of 8. First he slapped me in the face and then he took me to child psychiatrist who said they don’t diagnose children with schizophrenia but she was pretty sure I had it.

I had symptoms of paranoia and anxiety as early as 7 or 8. I did not have a stable home life, though.

Mine was turbulent to say the least.

As long as I can remember I thought with a thought/inner voice that commented on everything I did. It got worse as I hit puberty as I got the paranoia. I was good socially so I could mask it a lot but I had big function problems and a depressive break at 23 before being dxed at 29.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it’s obvious now.

I can see the seeds of schizophrenia in some of my childhood, but up until I got hit with anxiety life wasn’t bad.

Same my parents described me as odd and not normal too since childhood

Same here. I never made freinds in school and had imaginary friends that i would talk to all the time it was the same names and everything. I was also paranoid from age 10 i had voices telling me that if i didnt do something one way i would regret it and had really bad ocd

I was very paranoid of people taking my stuff in class and talking behind my back.

Along with other stuff i think my dad had some sort of psychosis too because he was very paranoid

I was also very paranoid as a teenager. I never really talked about it though so I never saw a doctor. I think that’s when my SZ started.

I have had psychosis since age 14-16. I don’t have schizophrenia but I have psychosis.
