Best sleep med?

Currently on a moderate dose of seroquel combined with a low dose of klonopin and trazodone, sometimes depakote, still can’t sleep. Wat do?

The pill that puts me to sleep is amitriptyline

I occasionally take gravol. Melatonin works for some people. Nyquil and neocitran help as well. The dr prescribed zopiclone and I was hooked on it for a few years. I don’t recommend it unless it’s a last resort.

I need something very strong, seroquel used to be the strongest sleep aid for me. 50 mg and I’d be out. Now I’m on 600 and still can’t sleep

How potent of a sleep aid is it would you say?

Its an anti depressant it works well

I have immovane also called zoplicone or imrest.
It helps you to go to sleep .
Good stuff!!!

I used to need it when I had voices I could not sleep with out it but when I was getting better I managed to come off it but I still have it when needed only.

I used to have it every night for years but now I only have it sometimes.
I have some if I can’t get to sleep or if I’m feeling unwell as sleep can help me feel better.

I was on lergigan and theralen but they made me drool and be more slow than usual.

Melatonin used to work on me when I was on adderall? Maybe it could help you too?

I always liked trazodone… not on it anymore

The best thing I ever had was temazepam. That was when they thought I had bipolar and was manic. I haven’t had it since. It can’t be used long term.

I don’t rate Zopiclone or Zolpidiem.

When I was having serious sleep issues they did nothing.

I had to wait months to get my pattern back to normal.

My pdoc prescribes me zopiclone for use up to 3 times a week. It isn’t very effective so I don’t bother taking it any more. It’s pretty adictive too.

What is temazepam? How’d it make you feel

It’s a benzo. They felt very strong. I’d take one then 15 mins later crashed out and slept solid for 6 to 7 hours.

I got Nitrazepam once during a crisis. That was a really effective short term one too. Knock out pills. Long term I guess that sleep hygeine is the best way to go. Drugs are useful for emergencies and really tough times, but you can’t take them indefinitely.

Is it something you’d be able to take during the day? Or was it like a knock out pill?
