I’ve gotten about 10 Mcdonald’s ads in a row where I had to listen to the full 15 seconds of it. So I guess the file google has on me is that I like junk food. The jig is up.

I use a program called NEWPIPE for Android for youtube and I haven’t seen a youtube ad in years as a result !

Ads allow creators to get paid for entertaining their audience. I think that having a creator that I like get compensation for their work is well worth a 5 to 15 second experience.

I heard about this lady who made a video that got 500,000 views and got paid a couple of dollars. She got so mad she shot up google headquarters.

Yikes. I mean, I guess ads aren’t the greatest way to make money. YouTube red is probably better, but there’s no way in hell I’d ever ask my mom to pay $16 a month for the ability to watch videos without ads, especially when I can just get Netflix or Hulu for half of that. They need to figure something else out if they want people to upgrade, because $16 a month is ridiculous.

i just use adblock and adblock plus. i also use facebook purity app (fbp) allows me to remove any ads and news , customized.
I cant stand being show personalized ads or news. If i want to buy something Ill do it on my own terms, and if i want to read some news ill do it on my own terms

I like targeted ads. They’re a bit creepy, but it’s fun to play with the algorithm by searching random phrases.

McDonald’s probably has a lot of money for advertising. I pass four of their restaurants on my way to work. It’s a successful franchise.
