Is it just me, or have youtube videos recently started to have both more and longer advertisements before playing what you are searching for?

I use premium. I can’t handle advertisements.

But they raised the price of premium. So it’s quite possible that they’ve also increased the number of ads

Yup it seems they play 2 ads as well if you don’t opt to skip the first one after 5 seconds. Sometimes they play long ads too. It’s so annoying. I was watching a Catholic mass on YouTube the other day and there was an ad in the middle of it

I don’t even think they have been giving me the option to skip. Just have to sit through 2 and a half minutes of ads.

Hmm I see that’s weird. Usually after 5-10 seconds there’s a box at the bottom right of the screen that says skip. I use an ad blocker now. It’s an extension for Google Chrome and easy to install. Blocks all ads.

I think there will be free housing in the future, except all the walls in the house will be led screens with advertisement. But word is they will turn off most of the night. Except a ad at 4am from the led in the bedroom ceiling.

I saw in the news they give a free 55" TV but at the bottom it will always show ads.

yes, its true. Healthcare in the future will also be free but, for example, if you like get a pacemaker in the future it will have a built in speaker that will, at random times, announce the latest sale items on Amazon.com.

I’ve never really looked into chrome extensions, but I know there used be free ad blockers. Probably delete html/java scripts or something.

I noticed too, that i have them more yeap…
Sometimes am obliged to watch them even hah…
There’s the skip button also other times after 5 seconds, but me too i find that lately, there are more ads, i know…

I got YouTube music premium on a 3 month free trail, So no adds listening to their music. Honestly no better than Spotify so I cancelled it. I would rather watch the adds than pay for it personally!

yes there are far more ads, also the ui has changed around same time as the increase of ads. i watch youtube most of the day but i refuse to pay for a subscription, lucky on my phone i can use youtube revanced app on android which has no ads

I switched to premium couple months back it was getting quite annoying and the adblock wasnt always working. So i cancelled spotify for music and now use youtube music with premium.
Once adblock gets better again ill go back to freemium lol
