I interact a lot with internet ads!

I play click the tiny moving X every time I see one on a gaming wiki

I have never once in my life ever gone to a site from an ad to purchase something

Not once

I’ll make an effort actually NOT to purchase the item because F them for spamming me

and I’ve been alive 39 years

Someone explain to me why they keep doing it?

The ONLY commercials that work on me are fast food ones, and those don’t come on until after ten PM when all fast food places are closed, so that’s neat! Why even pay to run an ad when the store is closed?

Also cars as Christmas gifts? Do corporations understand the middle class at all?

Because if 0.05% of people click on them, they make a profit! And 0.05% is roughly the amount of clicks an ad gets.

I hate ads.

Worse I hate websites that slam the door on you with “confirm your cookie choices” or “subscribe to our newsletter”

Ad blocker plugins help me greatly.

I really need to try one. I’m an old fart who is somehow worried that messing with browser extensions/ad blockers might screw something up.

I’m just happy that this site doesn’t have ads.

Amen to that. It doesn’t even have the Sarcosine ad anymore.

What if we had adds for coffee and vape products? Haha!

There’s money to be made!

I think we would be also vulnerable for scam type of ads.
