Yoga, anyone?

I think you’re doing very well with Adrienne. I think she’s good.
it’s actually doesn’t matter which practice you follow there are many different types of yoga… For me it has to be ashtanga, I don’t particularly know why I am drawn to it
I just saw that poster on the wall and wanted to do that… It was on the wall at my yoga centre and I have Always wanted to do it every day, That’s all I know

Sometimes we have a calling. Who knows how and why the universe dictates our thoughts?

It just is. I hope it is rewarding for you anyway.

Thank you it now that I’m doing it because I got injured and was doing it three hours a day in hospital,
Putting dreadlocks in my hair and getting very obsessed… I was actually on my way to mysore india, The mecca of astanga- when I went into hospital
My family had an absolute hissy fit every time I tried to do it… Even my husband took it on… Because my mum was so hysterical so it took quite a lot of going against my family to do it… This time around X

If you take the spiritual side to its extreme, I can understand your loved ones concern.

Have you kept a journal for your journey? in that way you can measure how far you go into the spiritual realm. This can provide insight when you check back on it week after week.

Keeping insight is essential. A measure of the level of psychosis or reality might be helpful.

Just my two cents…

Disappointed with Adriene in todays youtube tutorial. Basically, it was just lying about and relaxing, so i skipped it to the next one in the program.

I learnt humble warrior today, which in combination with the other warriors was relentless on the thighs.

I am now totally convinced that males cannot extend like females can in the interlinked hands and pull away from the body poses. It is a muscle restriction thing,

230 calories in todays session!

I can’t do that either, Just tight shoulders.
there are some generalisations like men having more tight hips for example or stronger arms but some things can be overcome, Improvements made… And some things are just nature to the person
It’s actually very individual

journalling is actually a very good idea… I did start… But that was when things got really spiritual a few weeks ago… Of course connection with Jesus and the spirit of my sister and having a premonition might not have been real
I’ve upped my meds again since then

There are practices I’ve been warned against

i’ll be honest i’ve found i’ve not been able to do it while my teacher was moving to Bali (2 sessions missed) and while he was doing the Marseille workshop ( 5 sessions missed)

thank god he’s back doing class tomorrow
i’ll get 3 sessions in this week
There are very few things stops him from doing a class in day-to-day life… I’m doing five days a week from now
covid has almost put me back to square one although i practiced throughout just a lot less

I’m very impressed with your perseverance and dedication to it

It is just around 30 minutes a day and I have nothing better to do. I enjoy it, so why not?

Adriene’s 30 day flow routine is nearly up and I have become familiar with loads of moves, so it is wonderful. I’d recommend it to any beginner like me.

She has other 30 day programmes, so will try them out too.

Adriene’s last in the flow series was today! She did it silently and was a full routine. She made me sweat and pulled out a new move in the process.

It was this, but holding onto the front ankle with one hand outstretched and back leg as in the picture

Another one to practice to master. Of course, I couldn’t hold it.

240 calories in this session!

I tried to start another 30 day programme with Adriene but it starts out really basic again, and slow.

I don’t know if it is avolition, but I didn’t feel that motivated today. Anyway, I repeated the ultimate session of the last 30 days and did my normal work out after. 320 calories today.

I want to take the teaching to another level and continue from where I left off, but don’t know where else or who else to teach me. I have learnt over 20 moves with Adriene which is a good starter, but who to teach me next, I don’t know…

Anyone with any recommendations? I don’t want to have to pay or interact with anyone in real life

Yes, I think so. I want to make progress.

Adriene has lots of basic stuff, repeated and is a great place to start out. She is really capable of doing the hard stuff, but rarely shows it. She pulls out a move occasionally, holds it flawlessly and retreats to the basic.

I need her to do more of that, but alas it is not on her youtube page. I think she has a paid for videos site too, so I’ll take a look at what that offers.

Thanks for the tips.
