Do not know why people are afraid of my clothes.
Just black body.Beijing police checked many of my documents.Beijing is really bad. It’s not as good as I thought. I’m going to live in southern China. The north is too cold.I will not go to Beijing later

If you go to southern China in particular Guangdong, you’re going to be hearing a lot of Cantonese.

My limited social circle in high school had a lot of chinese guys who spoke mostly mandarin at home I think. The impression I got from them about cantonese was that it sounds sort of harsh compared to mandarin.

Is it useful if I ever talk to Chinese people online?

you have to learn Chinese pinyin. You need a Xinhua Dictionary. Probably less than 5 $ .There is also a large dictionary of Chinese dictionaries. After completing the basic Pinyin.Congratulations you have mastered 50 percent of Chinese skills. It is basically easy to learn.

In fact, there is not much use for conversations on the Internet. I also learn English to see some early childhood animation and video to learn. But conversations are certainly useful, for example you can learn conversation skills, learn about other people’s lives

Right now I’m learning pinyin/pronunciation. Just fascinated by Chinese culture such as food, tea, and medicine, etc. I would like to read Chinese-language books on these subjects one day. Also would like to watch Chinese TV series without subtitles such as wo ai wo jia which is old but want to understand what they are saying.

There’s a lot of slang when speaking Cantonese and writing Cantonese is somewhat similar yet different to Mandarin. Bruce Lee speaks Cantonese whereas Jet Li speak Mandarin. Jackie Chan speaks both.

You ought to be familiar with Japanese Kanji as they use Chinese characters. Basic grammar and characters should provide basic communication skills either online or in person.

Cantonese is hard to understand if you’ve never heard the language before. Similar to how Korean is difficult to understand.

That’s ok I’m Japanese!
