I’m not letting people take a portion of my skull off with a surgical saw for ANY reason. I’ve seen SAW 3, I am not signing up for that!

Just creeps me out to think of my brain being exposed during surgery. And getting something put in, doesn’t that require you to dig around a bit in there? I mean what kind of damage could result. The brain is nothing to mess around with.

Although I did see, on the PBS documentary, a guy with really bad OCD get a few probes put in his head and he said it helped a lot, but that’s a separate condition. He was obsessed with controlling his breathing manually so could never think about anything else.

Brain wave reception can be detected without implanting a microchip into the brain. I don’t see how a microchip can replace anti-psychotic medication.

I’m getting a brain chip even if it doesn’t replace AP’s. We can merge with AI, download any information we want into our brains and know everything.

It’s still years off but my hope it will help with insomnia if I still have insomnia problems.

I often wonder if brain chips will turn us into the Bynars, or the Borg or something else we can’t imagine, probably the latter.

I guess I would. Probably already had it in a past life – neuro/a link rofl. I mean I remember my math skills improving and my schizophrenia diminishing. I could do complex math in my head.

Anyways, I already got delusions I had microchips in my head, so another or better one that cures me would be nice.

That’s the way I view it. I would only do that as an absolute last resort.

So you would accept an iPhone that was made in China and designed by Apple but not a microchip manufactured in China but designed by a US corporation?

The problem is I have no idea if it would need frequent assessment and recalibration etc. Theoretically I would try it, but only after its been on the market a few years and we know what its like.

First of all, iPhones suck poo. And honestly, I’d prefer it if we banned all electronics produced in China and started producing it ourselves again. Chinese-produced electronics can not be trusted, and the last place I’d want it is in my brain.
