Windows 10

Just picked up this awesome refurbished desktop computer for $150.00.

It’s a race car, but I’m not used to Windows 10…still trying to navigate my way around a bit. Did it take any of you a while to get used to this platform? I’m not very tech savvy.

windows 10 is pretty good to use i cant remember the previous os’s much because ive used 10 for so long but i remember hating vista and loving windows 7. 10 is similar to 7 in some ways.

ive upgraded to windows 11 now tho and the only noticeable difference is i have to click show more options when i right click to access options that used to be accessible on the first click

My computer status reads…

Win10 Pro 64-bit

111gb

I’m not a gamer, so I don’t need a lot of juice. I just post here and another forum and check emails and random info…etc.

Windows 10 is a pretty good stable operating system these days. Infact i sorta regret “upgrading” to windows 11, cos it just eats more resources - but i think i cant downgrade, cos i assume my OEM licence key wouldnt let me go back to 10 :frowning:

Windows 10 is much better than the disaster that was windows 8. Windows 8 favored touch screen tablets. Which most people don’t use windows like that. So glad they went back to basics in Windows 10.

What kind of computer is it?

Before you waste any time getting used to Windows 10 see if is compatible with Windows 11. If it is you can upgrade for free and then get used to that.

Download this app from Microsoft to see if your computer is compatible. The “PC Health Check App”. You might have to scroll up a bit from this link to download it.

I really liked Windows 10, I also don’t mind Windows 11.

I’ve liked Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, 7, 10, 11.

ME, Vista and 8 sucked ass.

XP was the last time I enjoyed an operating system. 10 turning everything into apps and making it user friendly for older people kind of ended up in giving us less control of our stuff… or at least that’s what it feels like.

Windows 7 was my favourite OS, but it’s not lightweight and fast as 11.

I am liking Windows 11 so far. I have it since release. I like the auto HDR feature, modern interface etc

If your confused just stick your dongle in it.

I didn’t mind windows 10 after getting used to it and I’m no big fan of windows. I recently upgraded to 11 and it’s going ok.
