The last 10% seems to be the hardest nut to crack, but it will get sorted. Just taking my sweet time over it!

One decision that I have already made once I am able to is to adopt a child who needs a home. Even if I had my own kids, I would still do this.

I donā€™t think itā€™s ever too late

So many need a stable home.

My problem is I live in a 1 bed apartment.

Some day Iā€™d like a small house, but I have to save loads of money as I live too close to London for prices to be reasonable here.

I am not dating again unless I have my own house and unless I am able to work. My last gf left me bcz of those. With my sz its impossible to achieve those. I dont believe in soulmates, you have to socialize like in bars, university, nightclubs, online dating, etc My mother didnt like me going to nightclubs but I met my gf there.

yep thats the main way. my parents arent social really but they met through a mutual friend. social media corporations are basically a kind of a mutual friend in a way that can connect people. just as you need money to make money you need friends to make friends

Bars and nightclubs are problematic for me because Iā€™m an alcoholic. If Iā€™m in a club it will be because Iā€™m running the DJ booth (I kick ass with Pioneer DDJs and Serrato), there will be no booze involved and I wonā€™t have spare bandwidth to socialize. Bars are just flat-out nope. University requires more crowd tolerance than I have so, nope.

Online dating was how I met tne Missus. Didnā€™t own a home at that point, but I was stable and working.

I have couples as friends who have met outside of bars. Volunteering is a good way to meet people. So is belonging to clubs around your hobbies (I attended photography clubs pre-covid). Thereā€™s also church I suppose if you are so inclined (blech).

Yea my mother wanted me to marry a girl from church but I ended up meeting my gf in a nightclub.

I was friend with that church girl and she used to call me so I teach her science. Sheā€™s younger than me by a few years.
