I’m currently looking into potato starch as an affordable source of resistant starch to greatly benefit gut flora. Certain brands may be high in solanine though so discretion is needed. Also some people are allergic to potatoes so this isn’t for everyone.

I read that one person was able to heal his leaky gut-induced rheumatoid arthritis with 2/3rds of a cup of potato starch in water a day. He was able to stop taking his anti-rheumatic medication for a period of 8 months up until he posted. I imagine he’s still doing alright.

Potatoes need to be specially prepared to form more resistant starch, like they must be cooked then cooled. Each cooking / cooling cycle produces a little more RS2.

They’re trialing Prebiotin, a prebiotic inulin fiber in schizophrenia.

Edit: in addition to meds.

I tried making my own sauerkraut. No idea if it did anything though.

You can make your own yogurt easily at home that has many more cultures than storebought

i try probiotic foods but not help me i think gut microbiome is too complex like brain.

I saw something the other day how fasting for 24 hours can heal the gut and generate healthy bacteria completely, supposed to help with depression and mood problems too. Havenae tried it but was interesting!
