Has anyone tried Kombucha?

Who believes that the gut microbiome is the culprit? I have been having very good luck with Kombucha. Especially, the Live Cola kind. I found it at the health food store and randomly tried it like the 100 other things I have tried. But it has aleviated my anxiety and I have been able to reduce my meds with only mild symptoms. one month and work is so much easier now.

The bacilus subtilis bacterium has some studies and is also in the Humm brand.

You’d have to drink a lot of kombucha.

No thank you.

That ■■■■ is gross.

It has like a little slime ball in it.

I’ll just be crazy.

I swear I drank one and now life is different. Things no longer seem so distant and untangible. Unfamiliar faces are friendly and everyone looks so unique. I mean I drank one and I felt so relaxed. Now I just drink the cola kind before work and the stress is gone. Have you read any of the studies on the gut microbiome and the distinct differences between sz people and normal control This one is bubbly and oh so refreshing. Think about it.
Also one artilcle I read said that the microbiome is affecting glutamate in the brain which is one of the thoughts on the causes of our illness. I am not saying this particular one will help everyone but just consider getting some fermented foods if you are hearing voices that are yours and that of people you know. Which is what mine are with the occasional non one.

thank you for listening.

Tried it for two months. No change to my SZ symptoms and it actually made my diverticular disease worse. I’m sticking with probiotics.

Also, it’s really disgusting.

I’m glad you’ve found something to help you.

And I agree fermented foods are good for everyone.

So many cures, so little time to try them all…

I wish someone would find a magic supplement/food/drink that actually worked and I could give up my meds completely but I don’t think there is any magic food/supplement/drink out there.

It honestly sounds like a bit of a placebo effect to me but I guess I could be wrong. Good luck with it.

I made my own. The commercial stuff isn’t as good for your gut as home brewed. It didn’t help my sza, but ot dod help my arthritis.

It reminds me of apple cider vinegar. Also yucky

The live brand has a cola flavor. Dr pepper, cream cicle, cherry cola. And stevia. No other brand like it. Worth a shot for anxiety if you have it near you.

I hated its taste and look/texture.

Someone tried to give me some home brewed kombucha before and I wouldn’t drink it. Then I saw the ‘mother’ in a glass jar and was thankful I didn’t have any.

No that has carbonation I took 1 sip and gave the rest to my best friend

I love GT’s Lavender Love kombucha. I see there is lot of hate for kombucha, from other forum peeps.

I personally enjoy it and I think it helps gut health, which is important to me because I have to take antibiotics quite often, for UTI’s. But I do not believe, in any sense, that it could cure my SzA.
