I have some stored for bad nights.
Does anyone here take them often?
I have some stored for bad nights.
Does anyone here take them often?
Years ago the psychiatrist gave me sleeping pill during a very difficult time he said they can be addictive I didn’t use them much
My clozapine 225 at night helps me sleep
I don’t take “sleeping pills” per se. But, I do take an awful lot of things for sleep. Like all of the following:
6 mg of Melatonin
200 mg of Seroquel
50- 100 mg of Trazodone
0.5 mg Klonipin as needed
I take all of these 2.5 hours before bed.
I do a half hour of yoga before bed also.
Yeah i take every night, not benzo though. Dont know if i have a natural sleep, but these make me calm.
I was on Seroquel for a few reasons one which I learned was for sleep.
Now because I am more awake from Aristda (abilify 2 month shot) and Abilify I need something to sedate my butt. Cause the last thing that needs to be started up again in the A in SZA.
Now I am on resperdial 2xs a day. Don’t know how it is working yet I am sleeping but it is taking me a while to get that tired feeling.
I take 25mg Seroquel as sleeping pill around bedtime. It’s been 10 years.
I used to take ambien and now take lunesta and benadryl
I have been on the Z drugs before and they did not help, at all.
I take benadryl at night to help me sleep.
I take Lunesta every night. My wife says I am addicted and shouldn’t take it every night but I have a prescription and don’t run out. When I forget to take it I just lie in bed awake until I realize I forgot it and take it.
They don’t prescribe sleeping pills long term where I am. It’s given if your really having problems and they only give you them for a week or two.
That said I have had them for a week or two in the past however last time they didn’t help much so I probably won’t use them again. Thankfully now my sleep is quite good.
I take trazodone every night and it seems to help.
I take Klonopin pretty much every night.
I don’t sleep well without it.
If I really can’t sleep I take pm aspirin or doxylamine.
I’ve never had much luck with prescription sleep meds.
I used to take immovane/zoplicone every night.
When I had voices I was constantly tense and could not relax and I had sleeping problems so I was on daily sleeping tablets for years.
Coming of them did not happen over night and i cant remember how i did it but it was not a super easy no deal thing to do.
I think I got of daily sleeping tablets and quit smoking the same year or around the same time not so far apart.
I have imrest/zoplicone now but I do not take it very often.
Not every night like I used to.
Not every week even.
I am thankful to have them though because i know they help me and i know they have saved me from hospitalisation several times.
If I dont get enough sleep and i am unwell i get worse and thankfully i had the insight then to know i was unwell and going psychotic so i would take a sleeping tablet and sleep and keep taking sleeping tablet for as long as needed .
When I tried coming off olanzapine i was really going psychotic and had my bags packed ready to go to hosptal (all my admissions had been involuntary but i was willing to take myself and this time go willingly because i could not take care of myself.I could not eat and drink and nourish myself enough etc
My bags were packed but it was night time so i took a olanzapine and a sleeping tablet and went to bed and slept and the next day i was so much better that i did not need to go to the hospital but instead could start eating better etc and taking care of myself better.
I am very grateful for my sleeping tablets.
Travelling interstate and moving from my x i needed to take sleeping tablets to “keep it together”.
Without my sleeping tablets i could have gone psychotic.
I want to have sleeping tablets "if needed " for the rest of my life so that if i need them they are there.
Thankfully I have been sleeping really well without them most nights.
I rarely take sleeping tablets but great to have them if needed.
I do wake up several times to wee but thankfully mostly go straight back to sleep.
My bladder seems sensitive and has been.
I took zopiclone for years but I needed more and more. I finally chose to quit. It was horrible. I couldn’t sleep at all.
Now I take clozapine which helps a bit. Occasionally I take melatonin.
My sleep has always been difficult either not sleeping or sleeping 14 hours or more.
Mirtazapine + benzo every night
I have lunesta for emergencies, but I don’t like taking it because it makes everything taste like Lunesta for the whole next day. I take maybe two a month.
I take 300 mg of trazadone and have done so for about ten years. it’s not addictive…some ppl only need about 100 mg but I kept upping it because I still wasn’t getting any sleep hardly…so I take 300 mg.
I get drowsy a few hours after I take my pills so I just take them before bed and they knock me right out.
I use melatonin to help me sleep.
