I’ve been going to the gym, most nights a week, since the start of the year, at which time I was still feeling the aftermath of a pretty major psychotic break which put me in hospital last august. aftermath including mild paranoia, severe anxiety and post psychotic depression. These factors made going to the gym really difficult initially but I pushed myself to keep going and it got heaps easier. Exercise helps me a lot not only with these things mentioned (they are barely noticeable or non existent nowadays) but also helps me get to sleep at night, any body image issues I had, strength, energy and endurance throughout the day and NEGATIVE SYMPTOMS. Also it’s a great place to meet people. Tell me what you think about gym/exercise

I go to the gym every other day. I like working out. But I get sick all the time now, so I don’t get to work out as much as I would like to. Going to the gym is good for my health and body image.

I found going to the gym 2/3 days eventually became a hassle. Every other day is perfect for me, though.

I go to the gym every day. It really helps with my anxiety and weight problems.

I almost had a fight with girls by exchanging fierce stare while I was exercising.

Since then I relate bodybuilding to violence. I quit gym and never go back.

Sorry to hear that you get sick. Good move though working out is definitely not ideal if you’re physically unwell

I have to go with bike, and I feel a bit insecure, because it’s long time ago I don’t ride

I can not afford gym at moment plus it’s to far to travel.

When I did dance class for beginners I felt attacked by everyone and had to quit.

I tried to push myself and did.
I remember shaking and so before going in but still going but I was not enjoying it when I felt so attacked and mistreated.

I do not want to be around people who disrespect me and attack me with invisible weapons etc.

The irony then that my boyfriends friends and parents even have attacked me but mainly a couple of a woman and a man who attacked me every single time I ever met them together.
The parents only did it once I think thankfully.

I have recently started going for half hour walks and also doing exercise videos.
I have sometimes felt attacked by people on tv but so far it’s good n I can still do it.

I also look forward to my holy neigher moving to me again so I can ride her again.

Pushing myself can trigger me to worsen.

Works for some but we are different.

Good for you that you feel better.

Some have different circumstances,energies,support etc…

I exercise about 15 min every three or four weeks. That averages less than one minute a day. I have a hard time getting started, but once I exercise it makes me feel better. I want to exercise more, but it seems like every time I try to turn up the steam I get some kind of pulled muscle or strained cartilage. It sucks.

I just got back into execise a month ago after some health issues. Three days a week of fast walking and two days a week of strength training. Mostly I enjoy it.

Going to the gym on a regular basis has it’s advantages. Helps against depression and even negatives.

When I went to the gym I loved it; it always put me in a better mood. I was down 25 lbs at one point. I haven’t gone in probably a couple months now, though. My back has felt a little better for it. I think the next time I go I will stick to the recumbent bike, no impact like on the treadmill, plus I can rest my back a little by leaning back into the seat. I’ve gained back 5 lbs in the past couple months.
