Not now. Used to be. It worked. But made me want to sleep and eat a lot.

I’m on zyprexa but on a much higher dosage than 5 mg. I take 20 mg before bed.

It helps significantly decrease my paranoia.

I used to be on 5 mg of zyprexa, but now I am on 22.5 mg of zyprexa. Bad things do happen.

20 mgs Zyprexa isn’t that much I met I guy some years ago who took 60 mg Zyprexa by mouth each day.
about 20 mgs Zyprexa is what most people need to stay well.

Nothing. May 2022 haldol gave me thrombosis. I used it only as a PRN the last year. Recently I restarted it again, and quickly I had the same symptoms again in my leg. GP and I decided to yank me off immediately. Leg got better, thank God. My psychiatrist says I better not use APs anymore, unless there’s an emergency.

I have Ativan as a PRN, but I rather use it as little as possible.

Wow im not sure if that is a good thing or not. Do you still get psychotic?

I was on 30 mgs Zyprexa when it came on the market but it wasn’t efficous enoght for me. My mother who is 77 years got put on 35 mgs of Zyprexs 3 years ago. And that was a life changer to here. Yes I celebrate really that huge succes.

My baseline is not psychotic. I do have other symptoms. My core diagnosis is severe PTSD, rather than sz, and this is still there.

I have short psychotic episodes. It is always reactive. I know what triggers me (e.g. certain foods, PMS, family stress, creepy spiritual stuff). I try to avoid triggers as best as possible. I’ve had two real tough periods the last year and send myself to the ward for three days recently.

Oh I see Marian. Tragic events in life can really bring one down.I wish for you that you recover to the extend you hope for. And I feel sorry for what you have been through.

I used to be on Zyprexa. Worked pretty well but I started gaining weight out of control. Gained 35ish pounds in a couple months. So pdoc changed my medication at that point

I’m currently on 7.5mg, no symptoms really. I might go to 5mg later if sleep keeps improving.

I am on 10 mgs… Its one of the few aps, who help me in fact, maybe even the only one…
I put lot of weight on it though at first, but i managed to lose some 15 kilos two years ago even on it, by just eating once by day… Am still a bit plumpy, but sacrifices need to be made aorund this serious illness… :confused:
Tbh, i still have many symptoms and am currently trying to change my isolation, but the zyprexa already is a big game changer, cause am on my feet and a bit calmer :slight_smile:
I just saw my gp, he said though, that if i stop my meds, i’ll worsen for sure and its true…
