I was over 12 years ago when I flew from Chicago to Brussels, have not traveled anywhere in 12 yeas, have traveled already too much in the past.
I was in April to Amsterdam
2007 i think it was. Australia to London heading to my brothers wedding, A stop over at Dhabi which just added to my fears of my first international flight. Not only was the war on terrorism still going on strong there. My biggest fear was ending up in a middle eastern psych ward. Although pretty much subsided after I saw how beautiful flying over the dessert was and seeing how relatively civilized Dhabi was. I think I would’ve ended up not going if left to my own devices. But was supported by my therapist at the time to go.
1994 and I will never set foot on another plane
About ten years ago. I flew with my family to Las Vegas for Christmas.
Im on one right now.
My first plane ride ever was about 3 months ago in June. I’ve been so afraid of flying for so long.
I’m still a cringey about flying… but I’m willing to try it again.
sweep and me flew to Florida in may and it took about 8 hrs to get there which was really hard to deal with lol ever tried to sit in the same chair for 8 hrs? luckily we had the first class treatment but it cost us a fortune i wouldn’t do it again. a few hrs maybe but thats it, if i didn’t want to fly i can still get a ferry to Ireland if i wanted or over to Europe and just drive or get the train.
Last year. Flew to St. Louis for the international clubhouse conference. My friend CP who came with me had never flown in his life…he did splendidly though. I don’t mind the flying…I don’t like getting through the airports.
its been 16 years since I was on a plane. returning from 3 years living out in Bermuda. since then have been in a boat but not a plane
My last plane ride was 12 years ago, in December of 2002, when I went to Minnesota to stay with a friend for two weeks. It was my first time riding alone, I was 18 at the time, and I got stopped for a “random” search every single leg of the journey (there was a stop in Cleveland). It didn’t help that I was wearing a black trenchcoat, and all black clothes and dark makeup. This was during my Goth phase, so I looked kinda scary. Still, I kept a sense of humor about it, especially since there was an Iraqi guy on the flight who got stopped every time too, we sorta bonded over it.
1999 Flew from St Louis to Portland Oregon with my dad. He wanted to visit his brother one last time, and needed someone to go with him. They are both gone now. I plan on never flying again. I would not like going through the security, they have at the airport now.
Last year from Sydney to Nanjing, China. I decided to leave Australia and move to Nanjing to meet my husband. At that time I was worried about how to adapt my new life in China. Thanks to God it turned out to be quite good.
When my daughter was two. Twenty years ago. I went with my little one to visit my Grandma in Florida. I’m so glad that my grandma got that time with my daughter before she passed away. I was worried about traveling with one so small…she cried at takeoff but then slept on my shoulder for the rest of the trip.
Two years ago from Mississippi to Boston, MA on a failed business trip. I miss the cool crisp air.
1995 . I got robbed at the airport, money and the ticket to get me home when I landed were taken . I discovered this minutes after take off and spend the rest of the time in a state of high anxiety.
Had to go to a special office when I landed where they loaned me the train fare. Have been phobic about travelling abroad ever since.
Four weeks I ago I flew from Albany to Reno with a layover at Midway. It took about 7 hours all total. The west is just one big wasteland compared to the lush green east coast.
So far, I’ve never been on a plane.
Good for you, James , just thought I’d pop that in there!
Um, 2009! To New York! Just when my troubles were heightening… Haven’t fLown since, I don’t know how I’d react being in such an enclosed space with so many people and such little control I’d fear it but I’m not going to turn down the offer.
