What's your daily supplement regiment?

For me it’s

2x2400mg fish oil (twice per day)
1000mg b12
250mcg Vitamin D
1000mg of magnesium

1200mg L-theanine (2 X 600mg 6 hours apart)
1600mg beta alanine in the morning

I used to take a bcomplex to curb abilify induced hunger pangs but since taking beta alanine I no longer need to.

Have you ever taken Niacin?

Yes. I believed in the niacin hype and came off meds and took mega doses of niacin. I ended up in hospital completely psychotic.

Damn. Sorry to hear that’s rough. I’m bipolar and have DID, along with OCD, PTSD, and right now I’m dealing with the starting side effects of Lexapro. Are there any supplements you know of thst can help take the edge off them? They send me into hypo mania.

Nicotine is bad for the heart I hear. I stay away from cigarettes and tobacco altogether.

No sorry. I don’t know anything about bipolar or lexapro. But if it’s making you manic you definitely need to report that to your doctor.

6 mg Paliperidone (3 mg morning and night)
1 multivitamin with ample B-vitamins (Opti-Men brand)
3 grams No-flush Niacin (1 gram 3x a day) (stops my voices for about 4 hours, works after an hour)
6 grams flushing Niacin (2 grams 3x a day) (stops voices in minutes, only lasts for about 2 hours though)

I wouldn’t recommend Niacin without taking antipsychotics first. I use it for my breakthrough symptoms.

No issues! Yeah he told me it can trigger mania and that I have to be closely monitored. The mania isn’t too bad. I just take it with a benzo and I calm down.

You’re off antipsychs right?

No, I take Paliperidone 6 mg.

I used to smoke then I went on the gum and now I vape. A 30ml bottle lasts me 3 days. Cigarettes are bad for you but nicotine helps me in ways other supplements can’t.

Omega-3 marine lipids - 3,000 mg DHA, 300 mg EPA (divided equally among three meals)
Vitamin D3 - 5,000 IU (once daily)
Liposomal glutathione - 450 mg (twice daily)

Never heard of it. Are you planning to come off at any time soon?

How does nicotine help if I may ask?

When I have smoked it I just feel disoriented and dizzy.

I tried tapering off to zero, but I still heard mumbly voices. 6 mg is about right for me. Used to be on 12 mg (max dose) and hearing voices, before finding about about Niacin.

How long have you been on it for? I read something that if you get off them 6 months to 2 years after starting your chances of relapsing into another psychotic break are like much less than if you take them for years and then get off them later in life.

And the chances of symptoms recurring after not having them for like 3 years is almost impossible.

What’s the last one?

I’ve been on some kind of antipsychotic since 2013.
