I’ve now used for a couple of months 3 grams a day niacin and noticed that my panic attacks and anxiety is gone. So I can now quit taking benzos everyday, which is a really big improvement since benzos shouldn’t be taken everyday for optimal effect.
But still a very positive result from taking both 3grams of c-vitamine and niacin for a couple of months.
I used to take a lot supplements, but I hate taking them now and haven’t for a long time. I only want to take an antipsychotic each day and that’s it. I have actually taken 3g of niacin a day at times in the past. 1g 3 times a day. It does cause flushing, espeically to begin with. I just don’t like taking supplments anymore.
For how long did you take the niacin? I read that it takes a few months to start working. But this is certainly an improvement in many areas for myself. So I’m intrigued.
Yeah I took it for while. Maybe a week or so here and there. I just can’t be bothered with it. My mental state is good. I can only diligently take medication prescribed by a doctor. There has been talk of niacin helping depression and schizophrenia.
That sucks laying on your bed man. Also, anhedonia or inability to experience pleasure is really, really bad. I haven’t been dealing with that for at least a couple of months now though.
