What's the longest you've gone without a psychotic break?

Since your first break, that is. For me, it’s been eight and a half years since my last one, which is the longest I’ve gone since I started having them. I hope that for a long time to come I will be able to say my last one was in 2008.

2 years and I’m still going strong now!! I have no idea what caused this sudden stability but I am not complaining after 18 years of battling psychotic symptoms!!

Uh, I don’t know. It has been since 2007 since I’ve been in the hospital, but that’s because the Pdocs had given up it would help me, and it became way too expensive.

3 years. Hopefully I’ve found a winning formula in abilify. But I’m managing to live a stress free life at the moment and if that changes, then it could be hospital again. Who knows.

I haven’t had a break since 2 years ago which caused me to switch to invega. Things are looking good for me now.

I haven’t been hospitalized since 2012 but I have had a couple of breaks that were close. Been pretty stable for about 19 months or so.

Mine has been 8 years. I’ve been close, but not a break. I still have suicidal thoughts and ideations.

Last hospital stay was march 2016. I hope to have years of remission like any of you have had

Wow 8 1/2 years, that’s awesome! It’s been about two years since I’ve been hospitalized. I am hoping I can stay out too.

What happens “in between” the psychotic breaks?
Are you symptom free?

I went about nine or ten years between psychotic breaks.

@MeghillaGorilla1 I still had little benign hallucinations and delusions but they weren’t impeding me in any way.
