How long have you been told to stay on your antipsychotic for (and how many psychotic breaks have you had if you don’t mind saying)
For me I’ve just gone through my second psychotic break last year so now I’ve been recommended to stay on the antipsychotic for 18 to 24 months.
I’m curious what the range is
how long do psychotic breaks last?
I think it varies it can be a day or maybe even months.
oh, do they encompass different symptoms throughout the months but still persist?
For me personally it just means sensing, hearing seeing etc., things that others don’t…that means psychotic break to me… 'Breaking away from reality. ’ even if you are aware of it I suppose. I’m not hundred percent sure of the term break in that phase.
I was almost continuously paranoid for 33 years. Then, it all stopped three years ago.

I had like one big phycotic break then I hallucinated and heard voices one time don’t know if to count that as two I was "sick " for like a month before being put on meds I hope after my second year to come off of meds with the help naturpathic doctor who I will pay 5,000$ to help me get off meds compleatly I feel like I’m one of those people that will be able to anyways since my symtoms never came back on low dose meds. If I don’t hire the naturpathic doctor I will just come off meds with the help of pdoc and see how long I can last being normal lol

Ooh… Definitely come off them at a gradual dose reductions under pdoc supervision. That’s safest. How does the naturopath help I’ve not heard of that before. Glad u were OK under low dose

Risperdal Consta 37.5 mg injection every two weeks
Geodon 240 mg in divided doses every day
Seroquel 200 mg every night
