What's in your garden today?

Aweso me. Oh, forgot to mention pineapple weed. It grows wild in waste places. It likes to come up in dry gravel driveways. It is a petal-less type of chamomile that smells just like pineapple. Makes a great tea. I put some in good soil and it got huge.

ALso, oregano and basilgrow easy and make good additions. Borage is really easy to grow but spreads. It has pretty star shaped flowers and the whole plant tastes like cucumbers.

We’ve got different colorful flowers growing all about our property, including tulips.

I just have various weeds and native grasses growing in my backyard. I never re-planted after all my plants died during the severe drought we had in CA the past several years (and the associated water rationing).

Weeds are just herbs that we forgot much of the time. I spend a lot of time identifying plants around where I live. I’ve found a lot of cool stuff. St John’s wort grows wild here along with other neat herbs. The one I use for my favorite healing salve grows wild almost everywhere and works really well.
