I thought for us plant lovers we can have a thread to discuss what we have growing.
I checked my flat today and have germination! Lettuce, tomato, cukes, and hyssop.
Anyone else have growth?

I only have communal garden for block of flat
At the moment there’s a blanket of pink petals on the grass
Sounds pretty 15
I wanted to plant vegetables this year but my garden got delayed, so I have to wait until next year.
I have plants in my kitchen.
I have a Peace Lilly, a mini fern tree I paid 50p for from the supermarket after Christmas which is growing well. I also have a Bonsai tree and a plastic tub full of cactus’s.
That’s my mini garden. I live in a flat, so I don’t have my own one outside
beet greens are starting to shoot up. and I just planted some mustard greens and kale the other day. as well as 6 jalapeno plants. the beets, mustard and kale I started from seed but the jalapenos I bought from the garden center and transplanted them. im pretty bored with my garden, I would really like to grow more food but mom is wanting me to start slow and build up so I will follow her wishes. this will give me some spring greens in about a month.
I will probably do some work today, but it’s a little chilly and overcast. but this may be my only day to do some work because we have 3 more days of rain coming up on the forecast.
in the future, I plan on growing, all my salad greens, some temperate culinary herbs, the supposed cancer fighting veggies like onions, garlic, and cruciferous veggies. as well as some beans and many root vegetables to store for winter. will probably also do some tomatoes and sweet corn when im at full production. and can’t forget my pepper patch. that’s a must, and the highlight of my veggie garden.
You should try some tea making herbs, too. Like chamomile.
yeah I thought about starting a tea garden, but am unsure where I would put it. I researched some herbs for tea last year and wrote it down but I can’t remember everything. it’s kind of in the plans but has taken a backseat to my veggie garden. but good suggestion.
My mom used to grow mint when I was a kid and she would hang the mint up to dry. I haven’t thought about that in years.
My grandfather used to grow the biggest juiciest red and yellow tomatoes. Delicious
My grandfather, too.
Yes my indoor herbs are starting to show still waiting for three of them to sprout. Moved my marigold to a bigger planter and put them on the patio. Next weekend I’m going to go to the nursery band get tomatoes and onions and peppers. To grow on the patio.
My grandad had a green house and grew tomatoes
My balcony plants are set aside. A work in progress -
Mint is pretty easy to grow. I can take over a yard but cutting grass smells awesome. Keeps bugs away, too.
Will plant tomato’s, but for now the ground is covered in snow
My dad will be planting tomatoes in the containers on the back porch.
@anon4362788. I decided to take your suggestion. I will have 6 raised beds around the perimeter of the garden and in the middle where I was planning on putting more raised beds, I am going to plant some herbal tea. chamomile, mint, thyme, lemon verbena, and what else would be good to grow? maybe some rose hips? never had rose hips for tea but it’s recommended.
Feverfew and hyssop would be good. Feverfew is good for headaches and looms like chamomile. Hyssop is good for colds and has nice purpl flowers. Several types of mint would be good.
Rose hips are great, but the best are from wild roses and should be on a property border. They can get huge.
okie dokie. will take that into consideration and post some pictures when it’s finished…
