What was your name again?

Good morning, Everyone! I was just thinking about some of the people on here, like @Minnii, @Rhubot, @everhopeful, @turningthepage, @anon84763962, @77nick77, @Patrick, @Sharp, AND OTHERS, and how helpful you have all been. The very frustrating thing for me, and I’m just letting you all know, is that I can’t remember where you live, how old you are, what your background story is, or what you may have said before. Some things I do remember, but just enough is forgotten to throw off continuity. Is it the sz? Is it because I’ve been fighting for so long? I don’t know, but I guess I just wanted to post this so you all know it’s nothing personal. I really care about each of you, but I can’t remember. :two_hearts:

My real name is Bartholomew Thaddeus Hornblower the Third. I raise purebred Richardson’s Ground Squirrels for the local racing industry and I spend my spare time helping relocate orphans to meat packing plants and climbing Mt. Everest.

Werd.

Thanks for the shout out Hedgehog! My memory and concentration improved since I gave up benzos. So I know the feeling. It could just be the meds.

She’s not on meds… I think it’s the psychosis untreated for so long.

What ? :frowning: aw geez Hedgehog, just goes to show how bad my memory is too. You shouldn’t give up trying to find the right meds.

Thank you @Hedgehog. You are very kind! You don’t need to remember anything just as long as you are getting the support you need when you need it.

I have always admired your courage and strength and your grace.

I live in Australia with my partner and my spoiled rotten six month old kitten.

Most people call me B or Blin in real life.

I have the same problem. I blame it on brain damage from my numerous concussions.

I can’t remember people’s names and it is so annoying when I see the face that looks so familiar but I can’t remember who is it.
I blame it on numerous addictions, mostly benzos.

I’m sorry, @cj9556. It’s such an unnerving thing. When someone close to me brings up something we talked about or saw together and I have no recollection, not only is it embarrassing and scary, but sad because those things should be something we share and I can’t remember. On here, and places like work, my lack of memory keeps me from referencing things people have said, etc, creating better bonds with people… It’s increasingly frustrating.

I agree. Luckily, my friends know to expect this, so they don’t get mad when I’ve forgotten something important. It still makes me feel like a bad friend sometimes.

Yeah, I already have social anxiety, and then knowing I’m going to forget what people/friends tell me makes friendships harder. I just tell them and a few stick around…

They call me bleh. Sometimes meh. Or sometimes spit at me to get my attention. I am very popular ;p
