I’m paranoid about this.
You have to have symptoms serious enough not to be able to sustain employment, diagnosed by a doctor who is overseeing your treatment. Don’t worry about the specifics, just be honest to your doctor and focus on recovery if at all possible.
I’m definitely focused on recovery!
I’ve been on and off of it
took a job working full time and a part time job
did trial work period, thought I was doing well, went off of meds,
Bam! psychotic after 3 months.
Lost the job because I wasn’t going fast enough
went back on SSDI, they got me right back on it, no questions asked.
so yeah, if your’e over income, they’ll take it away
maybe you’ll have better luck if you tried what I did
I get ask for sza and PTSD. They ask you a standard set of questions at the doctor’s office that social security sends you to. Then they ask you questions relevant to the illnesses you are trying to claim ssi for
I don’t know that you have to have specific symptoms. From what I understand social security has to prove you are not disabled anymore in order to kick you off. It’s harder to kick you off when you have been on it for some time than it is to get it in the first place. Certainly don’t answer yes to a question like my condition has improved or my Dr. Said I could work. When you get the questions for review.
Answering yes to those questions is a red flag for ssa
What questions do they ask your doctor? Mines thinks that I can work once my symptoms subside so once I’m better I’m expected to go back to work in part time capacity. She’s going to put “yes I can work” but probably in part time capacity…
I am completely stable and don’t have to hide it from SSDI…they know I have poor concentration and don’t have the ability to stay seated longer than five mins or so…your pdoc will take care of your claim don’t worry.
So far they have not. I have a separate doctor who claims I can’t work but I only see her once every 6 months. So one says I can work part time and one says I can’t work. I got denied last time because my doctor said I could work.
I remember some questions. Some were questions about math or memorization. Counting backwards by 7s from 100. It took a few months for the disability determination bureau to get back to me with a decision
