What job would you really want to do (if you weren't ill)

What is your ultimate dream, or passion to do in life?

I’ve wanted to be a film director, actor, musician, and a screenwriter.

I will always be a writer. However my biggest dream is to be a teacher.

I know it’s hard work. But I feel it’s rather dignifying compared to most jobs.

I was daydreaming about being a teacher earlier. I got so into my day dreams, I started talking to myself.

Haha!

So I think I’m going to try hard to become a teacher.

I would love to be a pharmaceutical saleswoman. If I wasn’t ill. I could never do it with my present illness. My anxiety is too high.

I wanted to be an astrophysicist, but I just can’t :frowning:
In addition to SZA, I have anxiety, bipolar, and ADHD.
I’m just existing but trying hard to exist.
My other dream is to be a professional writer, but that’s not happening either.

@yaz1 At my community college they offer a certificate in that (grounds-keeping).

There’s a quote by C.S. Lewis along the lines of, you’re never too old to follow a dream.

@fingolfin that would be a really cool skill to learn!

@GoldenRex My first girlfriend always told me I should’ve gone into politics. Ha!

I could see that though.

@stellaglow I’m sorry. Do you write anything else? Like a journal or poems? I write almost everyday even if it’s just gibberish to get off my mind.

Yes, I do write (well, used to).
Here’s a sample of my work.

“Little oceans in the sky,
And stars that glisten amongst the surf,
The pinned-up waves that crash along,
Of rusted purple and grey.

Quiet isles tucked away.”

“Color, like words, I’m intoxicated.
Sounds I can see, like thoughts, echo.
A distingushion I should have made a long time ago—I can’t even remember.”

I also think being a metaphysician would be really cool.

I’ve tried to study metaphysics, but some of the basic concepts can be very difficult to grasp.

CEO or CFO. I would love that.

@Montezuma I taught for a little while. I loved most of my students but hated the principals. It was so bad that I felt sick to my stomach every time I saw them in the hallways. I much preferred working in an office environment.
