Big fat zero here in scotland

I pay £30 every three months for as many prescriptions as I need.

If I didn’t have a pre-paid certificate, then it would cost me £9 per item each time

I really hate the American healthcare system.

Well, I take typical antipsychotics, old ones, that are cheap.
When I was taking abilify and zyprexa the cost was 70€

Lucky. I pay 5€ for 3 months of Risperidone (100 pills). Citalopram also costs 5€. Will also be either on Quetiapine or Promethazine. Also 5€. So 15€ in total.

I pay nothing :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

I am a bit worried about going to uni and paying for meds at the same time. I think there maybe a discount though so it might be ok.

I pay nothing with the VA. Before I got my rating back they were $8 a bottle but now that I am a disabled veteran they are all free.

This is why I don’t move overseas. I get great healthcare. The VA would still reimburse me for meds but I would have to front the cost. I would hate to have to buy Latuda or even generic Lunesta outright. It’s very expensive.

I agree. VA healthcare is great. I don’t have anything negative to say. :cow2::cow2::cow2:

I have the military insurance too and it’s good also. Tricare. If you get your meds through the mail most of them are free too but you have to get a 90 day supply so you pretty much have to be stable. Latuda was $30 for a 90 day supply.

If you go to the pharmacy and get one months worth they are $5 each or less.

I still use my insurance for urgent care and to see specialists sometimes like a podiatrist but you can’t beat free.

The VA takes good care of me. I get free dental too. They clean my teeth every three months.

I pay $4 per month per prescription so $12 total but I’m on all generic older medications. Newer name brands my insurance “might” cover up to 50% but for something like Vraylar that would still be like $600 a month(oh and they actually don’t cover Vraylar at all so that’s great) but if we add the cost of my insurance plan my employer pays about $550 a month and I pay about $60 of that. American healthcare sucks. If you qualify for Medicaid that’s great but then your choice of providers is so small and your wait lists are way too long.

I am in America.

My insurance is great and I didn’t pay anything for it until I went on SSDI and got Medicare. Now I have to pay for that every month.

It used to just come out of my SSDI check but now that I am working I have to pay it outright. My work offered healthcare plans but they cost money every month so I didn’t get a plan and just bank the extra cash.

But I still have Tricare for Life with medicare so I never pay any copays. And I can still use Tricare for all my prescriptions which is much better than Medicare part D. I got my CPAP machine and all my supplies through my insurance. I should have gotten that through the VA. I had a copay of $500 for the CPAP machine but I didn’t get diagnosed with sleep apnea until after I got out of the military so I don’t have a VA rating for it but I am already at 100 percent disabled so there is no way I am putting in another claim and risk losing that.

I even get Viagara for free.

I am in the US, and I do have SSDI, but not Medicare since I have private insurance through my husband’s company. I pay $10-35/prescription for a 1-3 month supply. No complaints, though. I get my Austedo for $35/month, and that generally would run me about $13,000 if I didn’t have insurance. I take about 15 meds, so I do spend a lot, but again, not nearly what I might otherwise.

normally my country pay 99,9999 % of the medication with the exception of me.I have to pay most of it myself because I’m wealthy.

im happy with my insurance. i pay 15 bucks a month for vraylar since it’s not covered by public option. it helps me -only med after 6+ years and keeps me out of the hospital and happy.

i don’t buy supplements anymore. i also get a small amount of disability. im better off i think in america than most people. top 15% richest people in the world if you include 7+ billion people…

honestly, i couldn’t do it without my family. my family gives me support and helps me out when i have nothing or less than nothing. it’s mainly a place to stay. if i moved to a cheaper state and a cheaper city, i would be even better off, but i’m stuck here.

Its free healthcare here in Canada but some meds like antipsychotics arent free until you are over 60y.o. I pay 14$CA for one month of Risperdal 4mg. 2x2mg or 1mg+3mg are cheaper than 4mg like 8$ but I dont mind I let the pharmacist choose and its just 6$ more per month, its nothing.
