I can add “being comfortable with your physical appearance”.

  • Helping others;
  • Taking risks;
  • Trying to be better person everyday;
  • Recognizing that you can taste everything that’s good in this world.

Avoiding alcohol may be a good addition; being sober has helped my situation quite a bit.

I take a probiotic because I take an antibiotic. I have to say, I never have digestive issues, which is nice.

My SZ symptoms are due to a blood clot in the brain, so I take clot-busting supplements like lysine, nattokinase and arginine. Also taking Vitamin C. Seems to be working so far, pain levels have sharply dropped, SZ symptoms have gone down somewhat too. Might be out of the woods in a few months of this kind of progress.

How do you know its caused by a blood clot? Did they do some sort of scan on your brain?

Stop complaining about anxiety and looking for new solutions. Cut back on your coffee.

The doctor said it wasn’t acute enough to take a scan, even though the pain was severe enough that it felt like a vessel was going to burst in my head, and it stayed like that for a number of months until I started taking clot busters.

I’ll get an MRI from a private clinic soon. Didn’t even know those were available here until recently (in BC, Canada.)

Have my brain amputated and put a potato in there instead.

I take vitamins, eat a balanced diet, and I try to stay away from the booze. Sometimes il have just 1 or 2 but it’s important for me to be careful because the excess dopamine causes voices later and mania
I also stay very busy with work but I don’t over do it. I can’t get stressed, so I’m careful with that. I get plenty of rest if I have too, And I take the meds every night
That’s what I do :slight_smile: seems to work so far!

I find keeping busy with things at home helps a lot. Doing everyone’s laundry, baking cookies, buying groceries and cooking dinner. Also helping out with odd jobs like taking the car out to wash and cleaning bird poop. Swimming helps too. I find physical activity helps me more than sitting and watching tv or reading or surfing the Internet at the moment. Hope that helps.

I believe my environment is extremely important to my mental health. The day I became a home owner was one of the best days of my life.

None of these are part of my efforts to recover. It’s very individual what works for people, of course. This works well for me:

  • Make a plan for every day
  • Keep pushing myself to do more and be better
  • Exercise
  • Have routines for most things
  • Be aware of my needs
  • Don’t think negatively
  • Don’t do drugs or drink a lot
  • Do something meaningful
